This property indeed has bedbugs in the kingside bed we slept in. I have at least 13. Both my friend and I have them. Please avoid this hotel if you can.

1. Dirty rooms 2. Microwaves do not work well, seems to be from prehistoric era. 3. Only 1 single pillow was given. 4. Breakfast quality/quantity poorest and worst I’ve ever seen. 5. Even plain drinking water needs to be bought.

Tired and run down, needs a lot of TLC. Room had a musty, moldy, smoky smell. probably from the old carpets that are so dark stained & sticky. they need replaced. Step back into year 1980. We did not even take a shower there.

Room had spackle still on the walls in way too many places - (what happened in there??) and very worn dresser/tables with some kind of icky stuff under the glass tops too. I imagined detectives would have a field day under there! Staff was very nice seeming, but fairly indifferent about condition of the room even after explaining/showing the host why I wasn't happy - at first there was another room and then there wasn't - ultimately he said the other room was only a little bit better anyway. It seemed as cleaned as possible, housekeeping-wise, but there was visible old crud on the cheap bathroom tape/grout, the carpet seemed swept but not cleaned - like you wouldn't want to walk on it in bare feet whatsoever. Worn corners by the fridge etc. No bugs, but we kept our bags in the bathroom just in case. Condition made it feel gross like you should be extra careful and not touch anything too much. The adult sex shop across the street and being right next to a McDonald's made it seem seedy, but there was no drama when we came back late after a concert. I would have left at check in if there was any other option apparent and we had more time. Bad room. AC worked (thankfully) but was very loud to me - maybe it drowned out McDonald's drive thru crowd so...perhaps that was a blessing. Bed was industrial adequate. Glad there was no bedspread - the sheet/blanket/sheet sandwich was a good idea for that place.

I was in Brookville to see some old friends. You never know what to expect when staying at a local non-chain hotel, but I was very pleased with the property here and would stay here again.
