A period property with plenty of character! We stayed in one of the historic rooms which was full of charm. Breakfast was lovely, the gin bar had plenty of choice and we were well looked after by the staff. Property was in the heart of the New Forest, convenient for other towns/villages/beaches we visited, forest walks close by. Room and ensuite were comfortable and very clean. Fantastic stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Thatched Cottage Hotel. Staff really friendly on arrival, room lovely and clean with great refreshment facilities. Breakfast was delicious and great quality. While we were there we booked one of the Gin Flights which was brilliant plus we even squeezed in a cream tea in the sunny outside space. In summary a great venue with great facilities, lovely friendly staff and a great location. We'll be back!

Wonderful place. It was just noisy Friday night from guests in other rooms. New Forest is great! I liked Roydon Woods. (Watch your step on sidewalks because some have a lot of livestock manure.)

I thought I was staying in the cottage based on the main photo when there were actual rooms in a purpose built house round the back out of view which I'll knock a star off for. Other than that, can't fault it. Really smart place, friendly staff, a really good breakfast and a nice stay

We stayed in 'senca' garden room for one night & will be back for longer. Rooms clean & have all that you need.We did ask for an iron & it was brought straight away with ironing board.Slept well,beds comfy & quiet rooms. Breakfast was lovely & plentiful choices to have. Staff were really helpful & friendly Overall & lovely relaxed night away in a beautiful thatched cottage close to train st,bike hire shop,bars & restaurants. Look forward to returning.

Very quaint and quirky. Do not book a historic room if you have mobility issues. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice. The only downside was shower is a hand held attachment to mixer tap, not a shower over the bath. You had sit in the bath to use but was no problem for a few days. Would stay again.
