Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Komal on the front desk is lovely, friendly and very patient.
Won't be staying again. One of the cheapest options I could find but carpets were dirty and looked like they hadn't been hoovered in a while. Window couldn't shut properly and when I left someone was complaining of bedbugs at the reception and threatening to report the place to the council.
Bed was comfy and shower was hot but hopefully wasn't bitten, I guess I will see over the next few days
The worst hotel experience ever. Shared bathroom. Carpet heavily soiled . Hole in wall behind door. Mould on ceiling. I left and didn’t stay the night after arriving at 9pm. Helpline next day was useless. Refused refund said I should have told them that night but there were no staff around at that time. I’ve taken photos and sent them to the council.
Didn’t stay we moved on after the hassle and frustration of trying to download all the codes To enter the hotel

To park your car, only 2 spaces no guarantee's you can park when you leave and come back though you will be charged on a daily basis.
The picture is grossly misleading, and may even not be of this hotel. The carpets in my and my daughter's rooms were very badly stained, as were those in the public areas/corridor, the bathroom was disgusting, it was VERY noisy, and it was very very badly maintained. We left after 1 night. It was impossible to sleep. When person above walked across his room the whole ceiling moved and the very badly fitting windows rattled. Similar story with person next door.
In terms of its adherence to regulations, I did not notice any smoke detectors in the public areas or my bedroom. I did not notice any exit route signage. In both cases I could possibly have missed them. My guess is that if this hotel were inspected it would be closed down immediately.
A very shabby run down dump, masquerading as a decent hotel; in summary, a rip off. hotels.com should be ashamed of listing it, because it's their customers who are ultimately the victims of it's totally misleading pictures and general information.
The room had a satin on the wall. There were no towels. We had to ask. The bathroom windows could not be shut. Broken latch. Net curtains drooped. Communal bathroom next door. (we had our own) in constant use with door banging. Stench of body odour in receptuon

Disliked: Amenities
So upset, paid so much money to treat myself. The room was dirty, (have lots of pictures) even a dirty towel down the side of the bed, didn’t want to touch it. The windows were broken so could close to keep the noise out. It said would be toiletries so didn’t bring any, only shampoo left so couldn’t shower, but that was also because the blind was broken so couldn’t close it. Water noise in the bathroom all the time so with that and the noise in the room didn’t sleep. Paint falling off nearly all the walls, dirty walls and carpet. Will have to share on trip advisor and social media and watchdog, as it was awful. The price was nearly £168 pounds for one night, after seeing the room and crying tried to get another room but to pricey., as prices where up due to the rugby, only £60 the next day. Horrible experience.
My room was filthy, the carpet hadn’t been hoovered, the chair for the desk was broken, there was soap and shampoo left opened from the previous person and the bathroom needed a lot of TLC.
How the owner can charge £144 is shocking
There is only someone at the desk from 3pm-8pm. The room I was in hadn’t been fully cleaned (toilet, floors, walls by coffee corner), the overhead light wasn’t working and the batteries in the remote were dead. There was no one around when I had the issue. It is in a great area to catch the bus or walk around.
The hotel was easy to find on a fairly main road
Parking was expensive and only 3 spaces outside
The carpet in the room was hugely stained
No breakfast! Had to go elsewhere
The room had a big (tried to be repaired) hole in the bathroom door, the window couldn’t be opened or closed as the catch was broken
The shower head was broken & didn’t stay up! Had to have the shower head in my hands to wash!
No staff! Saw one lady (briefly) at reception who game me a post it not with my room and hotel entry codes on
Spoke to 3 other guests who were also disappointed with the price they had paid and felt the same way as me about the state of the place
Plug sockets didn’t work (my phone didn’t charge!)
Lampshades weren’t correctly fitted to the lamps!
Will NOT be staying here again!
Thought booking through Expedia guaranteed me some sort of standards! Apparently not!
The best part about this hotel is the location. Very central and lots of amenities and shops around.
Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Considering the price paid (£136 for a Saturday) I would expect much, much better.
There was damp coming down from one corner of the room.
There were multiple hairs on the toilet seat.
The carpet was covered in stains and hadn't been treated in what looked like years.
Bizarrely, there was an unopened pack of instant noodles in one of the desk drawers. Who knows how long they had been there.
It made me wonder what else hadn't been seen to and cleaned before my arrival.
Thankfully I only stayed for one night.
My stay was terrible the hotel not clean the carpet disgusting my room was on the 3rd floor no elevator it took me 15 minutes to lift my luggage cz 6 months ago I’ve broke my back ( L4))for a high price I’ve suppose to be in a better hotel to tell you the truth I’m not use to these kind of hotel in hotel . Com
The hotel was ok in general, however my room at the back of the hotel wasn’t well cleaned. It had an outside door, and dirty boots had left bits on the carpet. My room had no towels and no toilet paper. You’d almost think they’d forgotten to service it. The staff addressed the issues promptly when asked. The hotel served my purposes, but wasn’t great.
