Lovely old pub for our 1 night stay. Rooms were clean and tidy and nice bar facilities downstairs. Meals were good and the dessert tasting plate went down really well.

Ancient coaching inn, much extended and modified, so many awkward staircases to negotiate, but that's all part of the historic charm of British pub hotels! Excellent car parking - plenty of easy space. Standard "chain pub" food: clean, fresh, hot and cheerfully served, but not inspired or inspiring. Greene King do, however, know how to brew and serve a proper beer, so overall "satisfactory plus".

6/10 Okay

Was ok, the place looked overall a little grubby though and the room (for a single traveller) was small, but adequate I suppose. Reception staff wasn't overly friendly, I think he was having a bad day, barman was nice though. Surprisingly small range of ales (3) for a brewery -run place. Breakfast was good, a full English for me.

Convenient location for walking the Cotwolds way. Breakfast was good although we only had the continental. Room was clean but needed a bit of TLC in places. Bed wasn't too comfy! Staff very friendly and helpful.

Staff were excellent but the hotel room was a bit tired with some general maintenance required. Very hot in the heat wave conditions with only a small desk fan provided and windows unable to be opened more than a few inches. Meal was disappointing. Beer was cold
