I was allocated a noisy room that was full of light overnight. I asked for some assistance to get around Brisbane,and get some food etc but the person on reception didnt seem to know. I tried to call through the night and the 24 hour reception didn't answer. I asked for a more appropriate room the next morning and was relieved to have a better room for the next night. It was hard work on what was meant to be a small break for me.

Email communication could be better - contacted twice and didn’t receive a reply until half way through my stay. Room was very bright due to kitchen not having an option of a blockout blind. Floors in bathroom didn’t appear to be mopped well - the shower bath mat when wet was very dirty. Bed was very comfy tho!

When I opened the room door and turned on the lights cockroaches scuttled for the corners. After my shower the water did notbdrain away so I had to walk through water to use the bathroom for the rest of my stay. The home page on the TV was in German rendering that unusable. The staff were great.

Staff were friendly and gym was great. However, the electric blinds wouldn't open, so no natural light. The ceiling light bulb flickered, so couldn't use that either and had to sit in a dark room with a small reading light. Luggage rack was also broken and left leaning against the wall. Overall, felt like it needed maintenance.

The room itself was nice, however the shower drain backs up causing it to flood the bottom of the shower. The blinds are not blockout. The rooms are not soundproof, and being on a major route to a number of hospitals we lost track of how many ambulances we heard every day/night. To enter the carpark you have to get out of your car and walk over to the left hand side of the gate to swipe the hotel card. There is no disabled parking! The only food option on site was for breakfast time (no restaurant, bar, lounge or cafe as advertised).

Slept with nonfunctional curtain with city light giving a sense of sunrise through all night.. Changed the room .. otherway round .. all day had to sit with room lights on since balcony curtain (the biggest curtain of the room (non-functional motor ) - permanently closed . Big gaps between curtains and wall - with room fully lightened through the night. Both rooms city side - accoustics rating 1/10.
