Darling 2 bed, 1 bath bungalow directly across the street from beautiful private Fonda Lake, with a sandy bottom dock just steps away. It's a no-motor lake - kayaks, paddle boards, pedal boats and floats only - so the mornings stay genuinely quiet.
Two kayaks, a paddle board and a pedal boat are here for you at no charge. They sit along the front of the house, so just help yourself. Life jackets are in the house; please use them, and swim and paddle at your own risk.
The house sits on a lot of just over an acre, roughly half of which is the partially wooded yard in active use, with a fire pit and a BBQ area. Open floor plan with two enclosed porches for the warm months, and the front one has a gas fireplace. Full kitchen, washer and dryer, dedicated workspace, 42 inch HDTV with Fire TV, central air.
One queen bedroom, one double bedroom, one bathroom. Sleeps five.
The entire main floor is yours, plus the basement where the laundry is. It's an older bungalow, so there is unfinished attic space above the main floor - that isn't part of the rental, and there's nothing up there you'd need.
A couple of things I'd rather you know before you book than discover after you arrive. The lots here are large and it's a quiet street with one way in and one way out, but there are houses directly across the road - this is a lake neighborhood, not isolated countryside. We live across the street ourselves, so I'm close by if you need anything. There is also a utility substation on the lot next door. It's fenced and most guests never mention it, but now and then there are crews working during the day.
One mile to groceries and a handful of bars and restaurants, 2 miles to historic downtown Brighton, and walking distance to the Green Oak Outlets.
