This place was exactly as advertised and the perfect place to hold my 40th birthday party.

          Beautiful home and location

This was a great home on a beautiful lake. The home had a great layout and the dock and all the boats are great bonus.

            The owner is great

Everything went extremely smoothly. Jessica (the owner) is a pleasure to deal with. The house has a well stocked kitchen.

            5/5 Excellent

Well-maintained property. Swimming & boating at your door. Close to other attractions.

The house is spacious and well-maintained. The bedrooms had more beds than we needed, allowing us to group the children in the most compatible way for them. The kitchen is large and very well appointed, with an oven, two microwaves, five-burner electric cooktop, large refrigerator, and two sinks in different parts of the room, which was handy when more than one person was fixing a meal. There are plenty of pots and pans, kitchen utensils, plates, bowls, drinking glasses, and flatware, all good quality and in excellent condition. The detached game room was outstanding. The adults greatly appreciated being able to send the children to the game room, especially in the morning. There is ample parking. The property is on Sebago Cove, an extension of Sebago Lake. The proximity to the water was important because swimming and boating were right there without any need to pack the cars and go somewhere. Nonetheless, we did go elsewhere sometimes - one day to Portland to see the lighthouse and go to an ocean beach, one morning to Sebago State Park to use an excellent sand beach a short drive from the property, and one day to the White Mountains to swim in a mountain river. None of it was very far away, so it was easy to have variety from day to day. The rental includes a big aluminum canoe, holding up to four people, and several individual kayaks and a paddle board. We brought our own inflatable canoe (holds 2) and inflatable dinghy (holds 2), and with that we had enough boat capacity for all 10 of us to be on the water at once and make group expeditions. There is a small island not far from shore and also a couple of exposed rocks, giving the kids something to explore. We also paddled through the inlet a few hundred yards away to go out into the main body of Sebago Lake. Minor things to be aware of: (1) the steps from the house down to the water are *very* slippery when wet; (2) the kitchen knives were dull, usable but too dull to sharpen with the small sharpener provided, so you may want to bring two or three of your own; (3) the house has an open floor plan which makes it easy to see where people are but which also transmits noise all over; (4) there are no reading lamps by the tables and chairs, only overhead lamps. The owner said she will address as many of these problems as possible in the near future. Finally, the owner was pleasant, responsive, and easy to deal with.
