The room was lovely, it was spacious and very clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely and lots to choose from and all cooked to order, we also ate there in the evenings and again the food was brilliant., there was plenty of choice. They have a big car park at the rear of the property so parking was not a problem. We would definitely stay there again

Lots of parking. The waitress at breakfast was great and couldn't do enough for me. I stayed 2 nights, 1st breakfast perfectly cooked, the 2nd breakfast not so great. We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Down Inn. The staff were friendly, our room was comfortable and clean, and parking was easy. There was a good choice of food on the breakfast menu and the cooked dishes were well cooked. If anything there was a bit too much food, but that's a personal preference. We appreciated the fact that there were a selection of cold options (such as cereals and yoghurts), continental (croissants) and a number of different cooked options. We ate in the restaurant one evening and there was a good pub style menu available. Our bed was comfortable and we slept well with no disturbances from outside. The location was good as the inn is on a relatively quiet country road but with easy access to Bridgnorth (10 minutes max) where there is a good choice of restaurants. We would stay here again and would recommend to others.

Stayed at the Down Inn while visiting the area

Stayed at the Down Inn while visiting the Bridgnorth area. Overall very happy with our stay. The room was large and in good condition. Breakfast was brilliant. Enjoyed a couple of evening meals also. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The Down Inn will definitely be on the list if we visit the area again.
