This wellness sanctuary was exactly what I needed. From the birdsong to the rain pouring down in the evening, everything about this place invites you to slow down and breathe. The plantation-style setting is quaint, grounding, and deeply peaceful—surrounded by nature in a way that feels authentic and intentional.
I spent the evening resting on the hammock as the rain fell, then moved to the upper deck to read, reflect, and write. As a writer, I really appreciated how inspiring and calming the space is—it naturally encourages creativity and presence. The simplicity of the accommodations is part of the beauty; it relies on nature and the essentials rather than excess, and it feels far more nourishing than an overpriced, overly curated hotel.
One moment in particular will stay with me forever: while I was reading and recording a poem I was working on, right at a tender line about love, the on-site dog wandered over and sweetly started licking my face—completely unprompted. It was such a pure, unexpected moment of connection that my heart just melted. I felt so much love in that moment, and it perfectly captured the spirit of this place.
Adding to the magic, I’m celebrating my birthday this weekend, and the sanctuary happened to be setting up for a party—creating a beautiful, celebratory energy that felt like the universe saying, “We already set the table for you.”
My only regret is booking just one night. I absolutely wish I had stayed longer and would return in a heartbeat.
