We ate dinner at the restaurant the night we checked in and had breakfast the morning we checked out. The service was great both times we ate here. They have lovely decor in the restaurant and old style photos that were taken on site over the years. It has such charm to this place. If you have reservations, check in takes place inside the restaurant. They had alot of pasta options for dinner and most everyone got pasta in our group. We had mosticholi, chicken marsala, eggplant parm, lasagna, we also had a pizza, pulled pork sandwich and a salmon Ceasars salad. They bbq pulled pork was made with their house made whiskey bbq sauce that was delicious. Their marinara is also made in house. All of the food was so good. For breakfast we had pancakes, breakfast burritos, scrambled eggs and sausage, fruit and an omelet; all come with their country potatoes which were cooked to perfection, you can tell they put love in their food. We loved the atmosphere here and everyone was so kind and friendly.

This place is fantastic. Just the perfect place from which to explore the area. Easy check in, lots of friendly people, and really easy going and comfortable for dog guests....there is plenty of room to roam. just great

Loved being just feet from the creek. Spaghetti dinner with salad, bread, pizza and ice cream was awesome for family of four. Feeding fish was fun for the kids.

Went above and beyond

The owners and staff went above and beyond in making us feel welcome and in helping us. When we checked in we were given a free upgrade, because we were staying several days and there were higher-priced rooms that had not been reserved (post Labor-day). They supply everyone with a "goody bag" containing the makings for S'mores (to be made in fire rings near the creek) and fish food to feed the young trout that they are raising in tanks behind the hotel for release into the creek. We were given great advice on places to visit. The staff supplied us with plates from the kitchen to heat the leftovers from our meal at their restaurant. (We were quite pleased with the restaurant, by the way.) They also gave us tea bags, coffee capsules, and a small pitcher of milk for our breakfasts in our room. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The facility is old and a bit funky, but the bed was comfortable and we were quite happy there. Don't expect a modern luxury resort.

Cleaning lady goes great job turning over the room daily. Restaurant food was good. Sometimes they get overwhelmed by too many people plus short staffing but always friendly.
