Great value-relatively clean-Maid service amazing

Basically, I was very pleased with my stay. Safe surroundings, comfortable bed, and the TV worked . The only suggestion I have is that they bring in a carpet cleaning company. The dirty carpet was a real turn off. The free popcorn at night was a real treat, and the maid service was impressive !

This trip was my second time staying at this hotel. (5 days/4 nights)My first stay was great with no complaints. I like the area because of the nearby restaurants and easy access to the expressway. However, once we checked in, we noticed that the room had a slight smell and the carpet felt damp. The AC stopped working the next morning. We told the front desk and they promised to have it fixed. We got back late, tired and ready to go to sleep. The AC was not fixed! We ended up having to pack all our stuff back up and switch rooms. Mind you, we were traveling with a toddler and a six year old & it was incredibly HOT! The new room was also damp to the point that there was condensation on the walls. Even though I like the area and did have a previous pleasant stay, this trip was just a disappointment.

The staff was awesome, breakfast was great, bed/linens were as expected or better, the hotel was quiet, and housekeeping was great about providing fresh towels. The hotel smelled odd to the point that it lingered on my clothes and luggage. Room 209 reeked of sewer gas on my last stay, and the windows were locked shut. The left side stairwell reeks of garbage as well. Overall, the hotel requires some updating & repair, which is actively being done. Otherwise, my stay was pretty good.

They ran my credit card multiple times with the wrong expiration date causing it to decline. I was on the phone with the credit card company, they could see the error code. I finally used another card. Then they sent me to a room with no beds. Literally, the beds were totally off the frames and stripped and on the wall. The room itself was clean and well air conditioned but the common areas were very warm. It was cheap, but I don't think I will be back.

The room was not clean. It smelled awful. The air conditioner did not work. The shower did not drain. We killed several bugs crawling on the floor. The bathroom door had been chewed up and scratched up by an animal and the door did not close.

Nice hotel and giving it up.

The front desk people I find are always so friendly. I stay here every time I I’m in WV. Seems like the new owners are working on upgrading this hotel. I find it safe, clean and overall an easy access to everywhere I need to be. I find it safe, well lite and overall I would recommend this hotel.

Property is very old, repairs and leak marks, cracks and rust every where, carpets are totally dirty in corridor and rooms. All rooms have musky smell. Linen looked clean on quick sight at first, then we can see some stains on towels and bedding, leading to question whether they were clean or used ? Break fast was good, lacked a fruit, but I can still say it was good compered to overall bad experience we had in our one night stay. dining area was clean enough. No mold or bed bugs at least, but an overall rating of >7 seems fake. this property is only good for a rating on 4 to 5 on 10 rating scale.
