The town of Briare has all amenities and an SNCF train station (a 20-minute walk from the gîte). You will find (within walking distance of the gîte): a communal swimming pool (with spa), tennis courts, canoe, pedal boat, and boat rentals (no license required), and guided cruises; a small tourist train; two museums; a tourist office; and many cycle paths and footpaths.
