A bad experience from the very start. Upon check-in were downgraded from an “Updated King Room” to a “Standard Queen Room. We were told the hotel was full so that’s all they had, and since we booked via AARP/Expedia they could/would not compensate us, unless-of-course we would attend the “It’s not a timeshare” timeshare presentation.
The room they put us in was not ready for occupancy. The beds were made, but power was off to the TV and refrigerator, no hangers in the wardrobe, no washcloths, no plug for the sink, and not even a shower curtain. Requesting repairs through the front desk proved futile. We had much better success whining to the bartender who grabbed the night maintenance guy who rectified these issues.
The AC unit in the room was old and noisy making it very hard to sleep. Far from being a resort, our accommodation was more in line with a Motel 6. Housekeeping is supposed to be “on request” but they repeatedly failed to makeup our room even when we requested it. We were there 7 days and only got housekeeping once.
