Our original AMI home is much easier to navigate than new-build 3-story homes on Anna Maria Island because our first floor is on the ground level and the second floor is one easy set of stairs. Other rebuilt homes on the island usually require climbing multiple flights of stairs up or taking small elevators.

Florida's best-kept secret, Anna Maria Island (AMI), features beautiful white sugar sand beaches, older Florida charm, award-winning restaurants, and shopping all within easy walking distance or a ride aboard the free "Anna Maria Island Trolley". One of the few places in the world where the sunset is regularly applauded, this tiny slice of paradise stretches for 7 miles into the Gulf. Just across the Cortez bridge on the south side of the island, is the old-school Florida fishing village of Cortez, where restaurants have excellent seafood and some have live music.

Great location

Much of the listing was great. The beach- amazing. Sharing the pool with downstairs was a bit awkward at times but the pool itself was amazing. Lots of broken equipment and equipment in disrepair. Communication with owner didn’t feel friendly.

Great location, pool, and views

The place was really nice and was bigger than it looked in the pictures! Perfect size for 2 adults and 2 kids. The pool was absolutely amazing- beautiful and hot tub was perfect too. Awesome location 3 houses to the beach and 3 to the bay, making for stunning views no matter where you are in the place. Great location walking distance to many great restaurants! The only thing that could improved is the host communication- had to ask the same question several times and a couple of them never got answered. One question that I asked about if the area had recovered from the hurricane I got a very angry and intimidating voicemail in response basically saying I was stupid for even asking that. Then he sent several messages saying everything was 90% open only for us to get there and it was about 50% open at best. Which was fine I just wish I knew going into it so I could have planned better. His abrasiveness and dodging my other questions almost made me cancel but I’m glad I didn’t because the place more than makes up for it.

The views of the beach and the bay were amazing. Just a few short steps to both! The pool was amazing! The house had everything we needed. Love the bed and shower! Rex was great to communicate with about everything and responded promptly. Would definitely stay here again!

Location was perfect to everything we needed. We rented the upstairs and friends rented the lower level. We all loved the pool area and how close we were to the beach and Bridge Street. Highly recommended renting with friends or large families!

Location was awesome!

This is the third year our family stayed in Anna Maria. We chose this home because of the location and amenities. It truly is steps from the beach or the bay and we were able to walk everywhere including Bridge Street for shopping and restaurants. We only got on the free bus once to visit the North end of the island - check out the Sandbar Restaurant if you go! Sunsets and sunrises all week long and the pool and hot tub were perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach. Rex was a great host! Five stars plus one!

Great location to beach and bay, beautiful pool, lots to do

The location is excellent, so close to the beach and steps from access to the bay. We were able to take advantage of the calm waters of the bay while kayaking and paddle boarding. Then some nice walks and bike rides to the beach, shops, and restaurants. We enjoyed a nice and relaxing time while here. The pool is a shared space with other tenants/renters in the home, but it all worked out nicely.

Very clean and quiet and the A/C worked great. Comfortable bed in master BR. The pool and area around it was great too, very well done. The description says the unit has three bedrooms, but when you scroll down it counts the living room as a bedroom because it’s got a sleeper sofa, so it’s really a two bedroom place. Not a dealbreaker, but that should be corrected on the website. One of the kayaks (the brighter orange one) took on water at the stern that I found out the hard way once I was in the bay. Got back to shore safely, but it was a little disappointing. Lots of beach chairs and accessories to choose from, but the umbrella pole auger had two broken handles (cheap plastic) and it was a chore to get it into the ground to secure the only useful umbrella there (blue canvas one). The washing machine leaked a lot of water all over the floor when we attempted to use it (again, not a dealbreaker) and when I reported it, Rex responded to my text immediately. Overall a great location, great experience and I would recommend it.

Top of the world

The view from the upstairs corner where I had my coffee each morning was beautiful. The house and neighboring houses are very quaint. I felt very comfortable. Beach was actually two houses away as was the bay! I enjoyed watching the fishermen on the pier. I know there probably won’t be a whole lot more vacations with my grandchildren, so thanks for these lovely memories and hope to return next year!

Excellent Location; Fantastic Pool

Property was great. 1 block from beach, views of bay, 4 blocks from shops/restaurants. Well equipped unit with kitchen supplies, starter paper products, pool towels, and bath towels. Kids loved the pool! Also several kayaks, paddleboards and beach toys/supplies to use. Grill and outdoor patio furniture were a plus. Had to request the hot tub temperature be increased and wait a few days for the pool company to come due to the holiday; it needed the setting increased from 92 to 100 degrees and the thermostat was in a locked area. Other than a cold hot tub for a few nights the property was AMAZING! Would definitely return to this property!

Beautiful property!

We really enjoyed our week in paradise on Anna Maria Island. The house is so close to the beach- I could hear the waves crashing. The pool was a great reprieve from the heat of the day. At night, a dip in the hot tub was a must!! You’ll love this place! We did!! Hope to be back!!

Amazing Location and Outstanding Pool

We had a fabulous time at this property. This was our 9th time staying on the island but 1st time at this property, and by far the most fun. It was the perfect size for our family of 5, and our friends stayed in the unit below. The location was ideal and it came fully equipped with all our beach needs and more (tons of outdoor seating, kayaks, paddle boards, bikes). The pool/spa was a huge hit! We appreciated all of the communication from Rex and definitely hope to return. Thank you for the memories!

Great Location and Pool

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location was perfect for walking to the Cortez Beach and Bridge Street shops/restaurants. Coquina Beach was an easy, short drive. The pool was fantastic and my kids really enjoyed it every day. The property was clean, attractive, and plenty of room for our family of 5. Highly recommend!
