Tru Hotels have been greatly cutting back on breakfast options. No eggs, bacon/sausage or potatoes offered at this location. The bowls for cereal and yogurt were too tall to place underneath the cereal and granola dispensers (defying common sense, of course). The bagels were of so-so quality at best (in many locations, Tru once stocked quality bagels). On the positive side: Staff was friendly, polite and efficient. Room was good. Television set and remote were easy to use for those who understand Internet TV (that includes me).

What a great find . The hotel was very convenient for us and I loved how modern clean and funky it was ! Everything had been well thought through - the staff were very courteous . Guess what …….when we tried to tip they refused and said they “ were just doing their job “ - we were totally amazed and found it quite refreshing . We complimented the hotel to the manager - she’s clearly doing a great job with the staff - thank you .

The first thing I noticed when I arrived was the strong air freshener. This was overkill. Not everyone can tolerate something so strong. The TV remote was a joke. Could never get the channel to turn on. Same with the phone. The ice machine and bucket was on the main floor which meant that I had to go downstairs to get ice. They said that the only available ice machine is on the 3rd floor but it was out of order. Why don’t they have ice machines on each floor? Many of the workers are from India and don’t speak English. I tried to explain something to a room attendant and they had to use Google translate to understand what I was saying. It was pet friendly which was nice. Loud racing noise from cars on the NASCAR motor track in front. Sadly I can’t recommend staying here. I’m a Hilton member but this hotel disappointed.
