You get what you pay for. Reasonably clean and convenient, but Photos of the rooms must be 40 years old. The pine paneling is now painted steel Gray. Everything is old and worn.

The Horse Cave Motel was a pleasant surprise. A standard older style motel in a small town that felt alot like home. I grew up in a small town, so it was fun to revisit an older style, well maintained motel. The owners were very friendly, helpful and visibly worked very hard daily to clean and maintain the property. Very helpful and definitely a family affair! Our room was clean, the double beds were very comfortable, and plenty of room for our dog kennels to be set up for our stay. Lots of grass on property for walking the dogs, and they were welcomed with us. $20/per night per pet charge, but we were fine with that. All in all a good stay. We would definitely stay again and recommend anyone in the area to stay as well.

Very clean little motel. The only thing missing was an ice machine. The remote to TV didn’t work. Other than that it is well worth the price. Would definitely stay again if ever in that area.

Very close to Mammoth Cave National Park and great value. Very large, clean and quiet room with workspace. Loved windows on 2 sides of the room. Working fridge, A/C and microwave, but no closet/hangers or coffee pot. Next door to a gas station and convenience store, but not much else around.

Check-in and check-out process was easy. Staff was friendly. There was a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room, but parking was easy and it was a short drive to surrounding cities and Mammoth Cave National Park. It was a great budget place to shower and sleep after a long day of hiking and exploring.

Well located in the cave area of Kentucky, friendly staff. The rooms are big bed is good and while the style of the bathroom is old (60's/70's) we quite liked it. We only stayed one night but we would stay there again if we are in the area again. Side note: we had a misunderstanding about payment which turns out to be something that hotels.com has to clarify on their site, not the hotel. The staff was helpful with their explanations and took good care of us.
