Beautiful Cottage on Manitowish River - Boulder Junction

Sweet Emma's is located on the Manitowish River that connects to Boulder Lake and Rice Lake in the heart of the Northwoods in North Central Wisconsin, just a 1/4 mile from beautiful downtown Boulder Junction, WI - Musky Capital of the World!

In addition to being on the River, we are now directly connected to the paved, multi-city, Vilas County Bike Trail System, as well as being connected to 130 miles of well-groomed snowmobile trails, on trail #15.

We also rent bicycles and kayaks.
No pets please.
**EV charging is $8.50/day per vehicle, $2.00/day per eBike.** We only take full week reservations in June, July and August.

Fans that Fran supplied were helpful for warm nights. We enjoyed the canoe and kayak on the river right by the house and the bike path right out theFront door.

Great Weekend Getaway Spot

Fran, thanks for your hospitality. Sweet Emma’s was perfect for our long weekend trip to Boulder Junction. The house was great for four of us, and we enjoyed drinking wine on the pier after riding the bike trail. Access to the trail was fantastic!

We couldn’t have found a nicer place for a relaxing getaway! The home was so cute, so clean and had everything you would need. It felt like I was visiting my Mom, a place full of love! It was right next to the many bike trails Boulder Junction has and restaurants and shops. Fran was the best host and we will definitely come again!

We had plenty of space for our group of 7. The home is well equipped with ample supplies for cooking and day to day comforts. Incredible Cabin

We stayed a week and loved every minute. The cabin is amazingly well stocked. The kitchen has every conceivable thing you could need for cooking. The cabin is much bigger than the picture show. The river is amazing and there are so many boat options right on the property. It was a great kayak to Boulder Lake. We would stay here again in a heartbeat

Communication is Very Good!

I am unable to comment on the property itself or the area as I was hospitalized the afternoon before my proposed stay. The property owner was very good with communication, she had actually called me to tell how to check in to the home and all of the important information we needed to know. Communication continued to be good after I notified them I was unable to attend. I wish I could comment on the property itself as I was very much looking forward to spending time in the area.

Outstanding Vacation Home

The property manager had a tremendous attention to detail for this vacation home. Lots of thoughtful little touches such as multiple room humidifiers for our winter stay, little LED flashlights in almost every room (not that we needed them) and a kitchen that was extremely well outfitted with high quality appliances and cookware. Notes and instructions made using the place a breeze. The house was very clean. It is obvious she takes great pride in the property. It is conveniently located close to downtown Boulder Junction.

Relaxing Get-a-way!

Comfortable house that felt like home. Fran has the kitchen well supplied so it was easy to prepare meals. Beds are comfortable. No AC down stairs but ceiling fans and other oscillating fans kept air moving. Cool evenings also made this a non issue. Wasn’t expecting the house to be as close to the main road but Boulder Junction is a small town that quiets down early evenings. Overall we had a great week!
