Double Charged for Prepaid Room
The facilities were nice, but service was absolutely frustrating. I booked and paid through hotels.com in advance, and the reservation showed up paid for without a hitch at check in. I gave them a card for incidentals, and thought nothing of it. Got back from my trip and noticed that they charged the card for the entire 2 night stay that had already been prepaid. Called multiple times on multiple days and was assured a manager would take care of it, and I would get a prompt return call. Neither happened. I had to contest charges through my financial institution, which means a new card and the associated headaches. I have never booked on hotels.com before so I’m not sure if this is a common occurrence, but it shouldn’t be. Other than that the room was nice and in a convenient location for a visit to Boston, Lexington, and Concord.
