A lovely stay in Porter Square. Easy check-in, valet parking, on site restaurant. Lively Irish music pub across the street. Nice room. A very good choice.

I stayed here fie two nights while visiting Boston. I was a tourist and wanted a hotel veey convenient to subway. Rge Porter hotel is only a half block from red line and 15 minutes from central Boston. Room was spacious and cinfortable. Would recommend.

Good value hotel

Good location. Price is reasonable for Cambridge. There’s a T stop a block away, and it’s a pleasant walk to downtown Cambridge. Rooms are small but clean. Staff is friendly. If you are driving, the only parking option is valet for $28 per night. They offer in-and-out privileges, but it sometimes takes a while to get your car.

Staff was very nice and valet were quick and friendly as well. Finding the hotel entrance was difficult, had to drive around in a circle before i found it my second time by. Do the valet, parking is nonexistent. Beds (twin room) were uncomfortable and saggy. Room had a couple black flies.

Pros - staff were welcoming and professional. Hotel interior was smart. Cons - on very busy road. Only valet parking available at $20 per night. Room was fine, but ensuite off the bedroom had a sliding, translucent door with gaps that afforded no privacy in the bathroom - also meant that any light on in the ensuite shone directly into the bedroom. Aircon was always too cold, even after altering it.

The room itself was immaculate but a little small, which wasn't a big deal. The AC did not cool well, though, and thus the 3 star for comfort. Also, parking is available by valet only, which is currently a $28 premium. Area is safe and nice, close to Harvard University. Overall, we liked it. The facility was very clean and the staff was nice. A little pricey though.

Cute Small Hotel

Nice small hotel with thoughtfully designed rooms. My twin room was small but with plenty of hooks, hangers, and drawers to put my things so a 3 night stay was very comfortable. Nice toiletries, great service by staff.
