NO HOT TUB! Just in case you, like us, selected a location based on this particular amenity. An amenity that would’ve really enhanced the frigid Boston evenings. There is a dry sauna in the women’s locker room. You must ask for robes and slippers.

Meh. There wasn't anything about this stay that was totally riveting but it also wasn't a bad stay. To be extremely nit-picky as an overly observant guest, the front desk concierge was welcoming and friendly, no issue there at all. The garage was incredibly convenient - I booked ahead on spothero so I could just check in with all my things and this skipped another trip to the car. Valet is offered though! I felt like the swivel tv was a great idea but it needs adjusted -- it kept tilting to one side. The mattress wasn't great. I've slept on worse but I was expecting a thick plush [memory] foam mattress but received an uncomfortably stiff spring mattress. View was great. Toilet could use a soft-close lid and the shower needs to have a wand - the small head alone wasn't sufficient. There were 2 toothbrushes and travel toothpaste. Lastly, the gap in the bathroom door shouldn't be a thing.

My biggest complaint is the bed and pillows. That bed is so stiff, I woke up with back pains, the pillows are horrendous, they don’t hold any shape, no comfortable position. Also heating sucks! I would raise it and it would lower automatically. Never again using this hotel.

We have stayed here many times before. Amazingly the pool has reopened, which was a bonus. Rooms are looking rather dated now and colours all grey/beige, so could do with a makeover. They have installed water saving/air mixing shower heads which are no longer powerful, but more disappointingly the water was often only lukewarm by midday. I assume cutbacks to save money. The main reason we stay here is location, right in centre of downtown, close to shops, Boston Common and the orange line T subway. However, although we are very likely to stay here again, we will certainly consider alternatives for our next visit.

The property is dated and rooms not what you would expect at the price. They provide limited towels, none of the usual toiletries (not a bar of soap—just used stationary liquid pump secured to the wall) at that price point, and rooms not well kept— stained rugs, chipped furniture, smelled etc. The front desk staff are very nice and had an easy check-in. Destination package is nothing but a coupon for things you can already get a reduced rate and the $10 credit is Only for dinner and can't be used for anything else like breakfast or lunch. $90 for two for breakfast buffet with tip while it was great that was a bit steep. No salmon and bagels, no bacon etc. highly overpriced even by Boston standards

Hotel is generally nice and so is staff. However, paying a ‘resort fee’ for basically nothing seems excessive. Also, check in was slow. One person who was a little slow, then disappeared for a bit before coming back with someone else and it wasn’t even busy. Finally, bathroom had issues- shower ok but, weak steam and unbalanced temp; toilet had slow leak at bottom that I had to put towel to soak up. Hotel looks nice, good location, you pay on the higher side and experience is very mediocre at best
