Excellent location, right at Kemore Square. Staff extremely friendly, helpful, and kind. Free coffee in lobby in the morning is wonderful. Would have been nice to have a few snacks and evening hot drinks as well. Front desk staff particularly helpful and friendly.

This property is beautiful! It is conveniently located to the tea. Easy walk to Fenway for anyone coming in for a game. The staff were friendly unhelpful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. One caution… We had a view of Fenway from our room on the fourth floor, but the road noise did get a little loud at night. So just ask for a room on the other side if that’s not important to you.

Truly great staff throughout the hotel. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Very nice rooms and amenities. The location is excellent for anything you want to do in Boston. The Kenmore T station is right outside and you can get anywhere quickly.

This hotel itself is nice but be aware they are going to hit you with as many hidden fees as they can. Expedia will say “the price you see is what you pay” but the hotel will still try and charge you $40 a day for a “destination amenities fee”. Then they will try and charge you $20 a day for wi-fi on top of this. Plus they will put a charge of $200 on your card which covers incidentals, but if your bill is short of that they will just let the $200 go through unless you ask them to drop it and redo it. It is a nice hotel but honestly with all the nickel and diming and general shadiness it’s not worth it. I will not stay here again.

I recently stayed at your hotel and was extremely disappointed by the condition of my room — especially given the expensive rate. The carpet was dirty, the desk had chipped paint, and there were stains on the wall in the bathroom. Additionally, there was no bottled water or coffee provided in the room. Overall, the experience fell far below expectations for a hotel of your caliber and price point. I wanted to share this feedback so you’re aware of the maintenance and service issues that need attention.

This hotel was excellent. The staff were exceptionally generous, friendly, and understanding — every single person we encountered was so kind and accommodating. The room was spotless, and the toiletries were so well-stocked that we didn’t need to request anything additional during our stay. One very important note for future guests: the Kenmore and Fenway rooms are quite different. When we called to book directly through Hotel Commonwealth, we were transferred to a third-party reservation line. The representative incorrectly informed us that the only difference between the Kenmore and Fenway rooms was the view. In reality, upon arrival, we learned that the Fenway rooms are located in the hotel’s newer, recently renovated building, while the Kenmore rooms are part of the original section and have not yet been remodeled. The Fenway rooms are noticeably more updated — with glass shower doors instead of curtains, no rust on bathroom fixtures, and an overall fresher, modern feel. Fortunately, the front desk staff were extremely gracious and went above and beyond to help us switch to a Fenway room, which made a huge difference in our experience. I would highly recommend booking a Fenway room if available — and I’m very grateful to the staff for their professionalism and kindness throughout our stay.
