Great price and beautiful hotel, the room was very nice and the beds were comfortable, the only thing I would change is the floor in the shower has seen better days, probably best to tile it instead of the lenoleum that is worn and also the thermostat should be fixed to allow the AC to go lower. We had to shut it off and open the windows to cool the room.

Hawthorne is such a cute historic hotel. It is convenient to the downtown Salem attractions. The lobby is adorable and perfectly decorated for Christmas. The room was very clean and compact. Would stay again!

This hotel was charming. Two restaurant options, spacious lobby area. Great parking, our beds were comfortable and staff was responsive to our requests. Some of the room have two bathrooms that was such a bonus. Great location to all the things we wanted to see in Salem

I recently went the other day after working a double shift at work to stay at the Hawthorne I paid online in advance had my ID plus a security deposit and was still denied entry was highly embarrassed and got stuck out in the night through the cold because my money was tied up in the hotel have not been disrespected or felt so insulted in a long time I would not suggest the Hawthorne hotel to anybody

We only encountered the front desk staff on check-in and she was very friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. We left early in the morning as we had somewhere to be. We liked the overall vibe and atmosphere of your hotel and the rate. We would definitely stay again.
