Charming Cabin with Incredible Mountain Views

Enjoy a memorable and tranquil visit when you stay at Ava's Mountain Lookout Cabin. Escape to this cozy early 19th century inspired cabin nestled in the clouds of the North Carolina Appalachian Mountains. This two-story cabin with a wrap-around deck provides breathtaking sunrise and sunset mountain views and is a perfect all year-round mountain getaway with amazing mountain views in any season. What better way to relax, reconnect and take in that fresh crisp mountain air.

The first floor boasts a wood burning fireplace, and a 2 story family room with floor to ceiling glass windows for an amazing view! Our home features uniquely designed 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with a loft area that serve as a work space or a reading library filled with books and dvds, as well as a finished basement serving as extra living space with board games and a fully functional laundry facility. Kitchen comes fully equipped with amenities expected; coffee/tea area, a refrigerator, an electric range, dishwasher, toaster oven, cutlery, dishware microwave.

We welcome dogs (up to 2 dogs per stay please) and charge an additional $100 pet fee. We ask that you please clean up after your dogs. Poop bags and cleaning supplies provided, as well as a doggy poop station outside. We do not have a trash service and request that you please remove the trash with you at the end of your stay and drop off at our conveniently located garbage and recycle facility nearby. Wifi available on the property. *Please note that we are in a remotely located area and satellite wifi may experience some delays or disruption at times.

Our wall to wall library with a collection of fiction; non fiction and history books. Take a break from the internet and watch movies from our DVD collection. Experience timeless tracks and drop the needle on some oldies and classic vinyl records. Play some oldies and classics on our vinyl record player. Connect with the family over board games and puzzles. In addition to the cozy indoor wood burning fireplace, outdoors boasts a fenced in backyard, deck sitting area, gas grill and fire-pit.

Some of our favorite close by attractions include nearby Blueridge Distilling Co Inc and The Lookout Tower hiking , the Forest City outdoor fitness and 13.5 mile Thermal Belt Rail Trail that runs through five communities to Rutherfordton, local restaurants, antiques and boutiques in Forest City, Lake James, South Mountain State Park, Asheville, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure and minutes from Jellystone Park where you can get a day pass.
