Ideally situated, quiet, and longstanding hotel. For a first visit to Bordeaux, We chose this hotel for what we thought would be a central location—absolutely so! And the tourist office is across the street. We also chose it because it’s been run by the same family for years, so non cookie-cutter. Great choice! Very professional staff—welcoming and helpful. We asked for a restaurant recommendation and the 1925 was first-rate. Rooms are cared for, quiet, and fully-equipped. The breakfast was copious and varied. We are a retired couple who travel regularly. This hotel was an excellent choice and value.

The best location for being in old Bordeaux. Super walkable, but also, at the junction of 3 tram lines! The only drawback is that the noise continues late into the night.

This was a terrible property.. My room was like a small cell.. No heat or air . Overlooked a utility alley.. No amenities.. all towels should be replaced and carpet was dirty. I would never suggest this property .

This was a great hotel to stay in. Right across from the tourist bureau where the booked tours start including the hop on hop off bus. Also very close to the pedestrian shopping mall. Easy walk from the airport tram We did not have breakfast but it smelled very good.

Comfortable bed, good sized room for a single. Looking out onto a courtyard meant it was very quiet. Nice bathroom. Friendly greeting. The only thing on the down side was the colour scheme which was a bit drab - mostly brown but otherwise the room was just what I wanted.

We loved our stay here. The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of parks, shops, restaurants, the tram and the river. The room was comfortable and clean and we even had a view over the city rooftops. The concierge was friendly and helpful. Bordeaux is a wonderful, fun city and Hotel de Normandie is an ideal base for exploring the area

Hôtel de Normandie is located in a very convenient area of downtown Bordeaux. Sadly, there no bar or handle in the bathroom tub to grab -- to get out of the wet slippery tub after a shower. Sadly, also, Hôtel de Normandie did not offer us the VIP drinks listed on Expedia.
