SMUGGLER'S COVE was a great place to stay. Wonderful, peaceful views of the ocean. Room was clean and bed comfy. Saltwater pool was heated and very clean. We had a tasty breakfast with lots of choices. Also had an excellent dinner at the restaurant with a fantastic view! Highly recommend!

Recently updated so rooms were nice & clean. Beautiful view &, pool was overlooking the water. They had kayaks available for use. Continental Breakfast was delicious and we were able to sit out on the deck looking out at the cove . They even grow fresh herbs next to the restaurant. If you’re looking for a quiet spot to relax this is it! Only downside was bathroom was small & they hadn’t remodeled the shower yet. Will definitely be back.

Lovely ocean front stay

Nice stay & lovely ocean front views from rooms & the pool. Restaurant is excellent w/ daily happy hour from 4-5 and the room included a full breakfast buffet - which is amazing. Loved being able to access the ocean via the small beach & have kayaks for our use & evening fire pit by the beach. An older hotel but very peaceful spot & the rooms recently renovated

The property needs a serious face lift, it looks like little has been invested into the property for a while - the cost of staying at the property, is really both worth it and there appears to be a problem with the sewage, it stunk so badly around the accommodation.

Overpriced for a clean but basic accommodation

It’s a nice enough place with clean and comfortable beds and good amenities. The kayaks available to the guests are a huge plus. The room is basic and small, the TV didn’t work, the balcony is nice. I don’t think it’s worth the $500 but I guess that’s what high season gets you.

Lots to do on the property. Several paddle boards, kayaks, and row boats available for usage. Restaurant was very good. Met the new owner. He was very personable. He talked to us for a bit at the fire pit one evening. Short drive to Boothbay Harbor.

The hotel is located at a beautiful location with a restaurant attached with fantastic views. The room was nice, and the food at the restaurant, bot for dinner and breakfast the next morning, was very good. We enjoyed our stay.

The property was nice, but nothing was really accessible for people with disabilities, or strollers. A wheelchair user would not be able to dine in the restaurant at all, or access the front office. The staff were all incredibly nice and helpful! I did not use the pool, so I can't attest to how that was. The food at the restaurant was good, but i don't think the quality matched the prices. The room was clean and well stocked, the view from our balcony was incredible!
We named this guy 'Hank.' He liked to hang out around the restaurant.
