A Perfect Getaway for New Year’s Eve

My partner and I stayed at Hotel Baud for two nights over New Year’s Eve, and it was truly a delightful experience. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, providing the perfect space to unwind after a long day. The hotel offers a calm and peaceful atmosphere, which made our stay even more enjoyable. A special thank you to the reception staff, who kindly waited for our arrival even though the reception was scheduled to close at 2 PM—a gesture we deeply appreciated. If we find ourselves in the area again for a skiing trip, we will definitely return to Hotel Baud. Thank you again for the wonderful hospitality!

This hotel was great. Family room was very spacious. Bed and towels were high level. Staff was above and beyond. A couple of spiders around the room I had to deal before sleeping due to the high allergy level my daughter has but normal for a room above a river immersed in nature. We unfortunately expected to try the restaurant on Sunday evening but it closes on Sundays. This hotel was a nice surprise after had to cancel the two previous hotels due to hygiene issues (apparently a very common issue in Europe, as it seems most of locations charge a fortune and show no respect to their customers). I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to avoid the chaos of Geneva and its surroundings after a day of visiting.

Pas terrible

Les serveurs sont très très prétentieux et hautains. Les chambres sont très old school Et il y a manifestement un vrai problème d’organisation et de communication entre les clients et le personnel j’ai du réclamer plusieurs fois ma facture et normalement tout était payé et ils m’ont rappeler pour payer alors qu’on m’a dit que tout était deja régler.

Jammer. Eens maar nooit meer!

Door plotselinge verandering van reisroute op donderdagochtend een Junior Suite geboekt voor zaterdagnacht. Voor het definitief boeken via Expedia de bevestiging gekregen van het hotel dat de suite beschikbaar was. Drie uur later een mail gekregen dat er een tweepers. kamer a € 155,-- door de receptie was geboekt ipv de suite van € 205,-- die ik had betaald. Geen tijd gehad om te reageren omdat wij op 1000 m. hoogte in de bergen zaten. Dit wilden wij regelen bij het uitchecken. Op de kamer waren geen glazen, terwijl de minibar volstond met drankjes. Heel erg stoffig op de kamer en het bed kraakte verschrikkelijk. Badkamerdeur was erg vies. De vingerafdrukken van een vorige gast zaten onder de deurklink en op de rand van de deur. Vloerbedekking op de gang zat vol met vlekken, de verf bladderde op de trap en houtwerk er omheen. Bij het uitchecken vroeg ik om het ontbijt van € 37,50 te verrekenen met het verschil van € 50,00 die ik voor de kamer teveel had betaald. De receptionist die wij eerder nog wel gastvrij vonden antwoordde totaal onverschillig dat wij dit maar moesten regelen met Expedia. Daar begon hij niet aan. Bijzonder dat gasten eerst worden "binnengehaald" via de mail voor een bepaalde boeking en vervolgens zonder excuses en uitleg een andere, goedkopere kamer krijgen en dat dat wordt afgedaan alsof wijzelf een fout hadden gemaakt. Vier sterren? Op dit moment geven wij max. twee sterren.

Hotel en bord de rivière.

Bel hôtel bien situé, suite spacieuse bien agencée située au deuxième étage sans ascenseur qui mériterait un système de climatisation lors des fortes chaleurs. Très bon accueil et joli jardin en bord de rivière, cadre très agréable . Bon petit déjeuner.

Bildene svarte ikke til virkeligheten. Hotellet var slitt, lå i en trafikkert gate på et lite sjarmerende sted. Hotellet er priset altfor høyt i forhold til standarden. Det burde hatt 3 stjerner, langt fra et 4 stjerners hotell.
