I LOVED the lazy river. This is the reason we visited the property. The pools and amenities are very nice. The rooms were very clean and well stocked. The property is a bit dated but they are doing a good job with maintaining what appears to be an older property. I would give it 4.5 stars if that were an option.

Please update the shower heads.

This is our family’s go to place for our staycation for 9+ years when it was called Coconut Plantation. Hyatt Coconut Cove is well maintained and you can always see employees doing something around the property. The pools and common areas are clean. The front desk personnel are friendly and professional. In our recent stay, when we walked into our one bedroom villa, we were surprised nothing had changed in years. Even though there has been no updates to the villa, they are well maintained and clean. The only negative I can think of is the shower head. The shower head is terrible, there is no water pressure and the spray functions are worthless. If there is anything that needs a desperate update is the shower head. I know the employees need to sell timeshares but we are locals and don’t need a timeshare within a one and half hour drive. I don’t want to be stopped on our way out and given the “sales talk” especially when they know we are local, have visited their location in the past and heard about their specials before. My family and I will always recommend Hyatt Coconut Cove to anyone looking to stay in SW Florida. It will always be our first choice for a staycation.

Room was very clean. We had to request towels as we only had one set. We also had to request laundry soap. Staff was responsive. The paint on balcony was slightly peeled. The toilet paper holder was too small for the width of the brackets. Otherwise everything was perfect! Bar was nice, staff fun!

Property is good for some swimming but has a lot of bugs and bees that made the experience bad. Dining options at the resort are very limited and there is no shuttle to bring you to the nearby mall or Hyatt regency. Pools, restaurants and shop close early. Except for a small pool that is open until 11pm. WiFi is bad. TV did not work well (lag between image and sound). We spent most time off site. They have some work to do to become more entertaining like most resorts are.

The place is nice, and they had activities to entertain the guests at the pool. Room is spacious and well designed/decorated. The lazy river was nice, but they should have an employee there collecting the tubes that get stuck in the middle of the course. We waited a long time for some tubes just to see a bunch of them stuck at another part of the lazy river. Food was a disappointment. They only had a few options at the pool bar, but once the bar closes (and it closes early, I think at 6 or 7pm), you have no other option for food besides ordering from outside, or going out. Ice cream shop was closed when we went. I would recommend you bring some snacks/food. They are losing a big opportunity by not having a restaurant there. Overall, we liked it and will come back.

We got updated from a standard hotel room to a one bedroom. That was awesome. Happy with the price we paid and the room we stayed in. They kept telling us there was a good bag awaiting us. On our last day we were in a hurry as we came to be with a family member in ill health and were rushing. We went by to drop off our towel card and pick up our goody bag. We weren’t given a goody bag, instead we were given the hard sell on coming back for 3 nights for a good deal to listen to a 90-minute presentation. We had no time to discuss, but were pushed to continue the conversation for several minutes before I had to apologize and just leave. I have no problem with a facility trying to sell a time share etc, but if you say I have a goody bag, then it should be given. And if I say I don’t have time to discuss, don’t push. We did not have any time to see the pool or anything while there as all our free time was spent with family. The place looked amazing. There’s a lot of construction coming into the complex, which wasn’t a big deal to us. Overall, would stay again. Just stop with the hard sell when someone isn’t available.

Front desk was not much of help. My room was ready late (after 4pm). When I arrive the floor of the room was all wet. After 10 minutes the cleaning person enter the room without knocking thinking that the room was still empty. She was so sweet and was not her fault that the front desk did mentioned that we were checking in already. Also on the day that we were leaving someone try to open our door around 7:30 am. Lucky that we were if the lock on. The stay was good but could be better.
