Mattarp beech forest borders the Grudstück. It is one of the northernmost beech forests in Europe. Take long walks here. In Bodafors you can rent a boat at lake Storsjön. In the historic wooden town of Eksjö you can see the nature reserve Skuragate, a 800 m long gorge and the 334 m high elevation Skurhatt. Also worth seeing is the farm Aschanska with an inventory from the 19th century. The amusement park Astrid Lindgrens Välrd in Vimmerby is 95 km away.
