The owner was very rude. Several items in the room were broke. No dresser in room, toilet seat broke, lamps broke, fridge not working properly, no microwave, no elevator, no scoop for ice machine. If you reserve a room, make sure you want to stay here. Owner will not refund any days even if it was just reserved and not a deposit. The hotel needs lots of work. Not taken care of. Avoid this hotel. Definitely not a lodge.

I just about didn't book here based off of other reviews, but I'm happy that I did. This motel is dated, but it is very clean, and you can tell that the owners and staff take pride in this establishment. The bed is plain, no pillow top, or fancy covers; but it is comfortable. If you prioritize all things high end, this is not the place for you. If you value cleanlines

The decor and ambiance was charming. Everything was clean and the staff were welcoming and friendly. This is on the way to being great, but some things are a bit off. Ex. Lightbulb in floor lamp leaning over, not noticeable until you turn light on or off, but then you can feel it isn’t properly upright.

Our room had bug traps placed throughout, there was no AC upon entering our room and it was hot! We had to turn it on but couldn’t adjust the temperature. The location was close to many other things around town.

If you are like me, you really depend on the reviews. So, I want to leave an honest review. We stayed for two nights and spent most of the day outside adventuring around Blue Ridge. Really, we only slept in the room. Pros: Reid Ridge Lodge is very clean and conveniently located of the main road. I really enjoyed the rustic look. It reminded me of an old cabin with beautiful "wood" work inside the room. The breakfast is a grab and go style (muffins, coffee, and pastries). The lodge has a fire pit with chair for sitting. Cons: The bed was very firm and there was a significantly strong smell/odor in the room. I almost wonder if it was from the carpet or the ac. Not quite sure. We did let the front desk know.

This place was a reminder of hotels I stayed in in the mountains as a child! Wood furnishings with a lodge feel. Clean & met our needs with a welcoming quilt style bedspread. The staff were very friendly

We had reservation, but they were upset that we didnt get there until 9 pm. Room was reun down (black stuff in shower). Walls were paper thin. Bed so hard you might as well sleep on the floor. Reserved two nights but o ly stayed one. Do not recommend.

We love staying here and will be back. The only little quirk that got me was that there was no stopper in the tub, and no grate over the sink. Other than that, we are always happy here!
