With its cathedral ceilings and A-frame windows that display a magnificent seasonal view, and four ensuites, Animal Crossings is a warm and inviting home for a large family or group of friends to relax, celebrate, and enjoy nature and each other.

This cabin is conveniently located just six miles from both downtown Blue Ridge and McCaysville, TN and close to nearby waterfalls, wineries and antique shops.

In the main floor living area you can relax and unwind in front of the gas fireplace and watch the cable and DVD-equipped Smart TV. The kitchen has been recently updated with a refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, microwave, electric stove/oven, and dishwasher. A blender, toaster, air fryer, crockpot, Keurig and Mr. Coffee (please bring your own K-cups and coffee supplies) are available to make your stay enjoyable. The dining table can accommodate eight, plus four stools at the island.

If you’re in the mood for barbecue, there’s a 5-burner gas grill on the main level deck next to a screened-in porch that has a refrigerator/freezer for you to relax and enjoy those cool evenings without the uninvited guests (bugs). The outside decks and porch also include several more rockers and out front there is a fire pit for your marshmallow-toasting pleasure.
For indoor fun, there are pool and foosball tables, board games and puzzles in the downstairs game room, which has a gas fireplace and a Smart TV with cable and DVD player.

The five bedrooms include animal themes represented in the décor. On the main level, Eagle’s Nest, the master bedroom, has a king bed, deck access, a Smart TV, and private bath with a double vanity and walk-in shower. Bear Cave on the same level has a queen bed, a Smart TV and private bath with one sink and tub/shower. Downstairs, Deer Haven, the master, has a king bed, deck access, a Smart TV, and a private bath with double vanity and tub/shower. Fox Hole has a queen bed and a bath with shower and single sink. Cub Den includes a full bed and twin bunks. There’s an additional half bath on the main level.

Animal Crossings’ other features and amenities include WiFi, cable (3 TV’s), ceiling fans throughout, and a laundry room complete with ironing board and iron. The road to the cabin is a slight incline on a paved/gravel road, with a gravel driveway.

The perfect setting for a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. The kids loved the game room. The adults loved that the kids were happy doing their own thing while we worked on meals! The kitchen was very well equipped and the whole cabin was cozy and comfortable for our crew of 9. The screened porch looked wonderful - we’ll have to come back in warmer weather so we can try it out. Highly recommend this home!

The host here is very accommodating. The cabin is a beautiful and extremely comfortable place with plenty of space for everyone. The beds are all very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could hope to have for cooking in. We spent a lot of time in the screened porch and enjoyed every aspect of this property. This Cabin/house was in an ideal location. Close to towns, and not a mountainous windy drive. Our host was very good communicating with us, and leaving instructions for us. Property was clean, well stocked, including a nice collection of board games and puzzles to enjoy. Perfect weather to enjoy decks. Our annual family gathering was enjoyed by all. Apple picking and a scenic train ride rounded out a very nice, albeit short, weekend.

Very Clean! Great property.

Our children had been talking about a group vacation for several years. We choose this cabin and thanksgiving. Wow! - what a blast we had. Though we all live within 20 miles of each other and regularly have group cook-outs, etc., spending a week together at a beautiful cabin was a blast. I have rented many cabins, beach houses, etc and this was absolutely the best. Very clean. Well maintained. Well furnished. Convenient to a lot of sights and shopping. The layout with ensuite baths was an absolute plus when you have 4 sets of adults and children. We will definately come back.

Beautiful Clean Home / See driveway notes

Excellent communication from Diane, from beginning to end. We had a couple hiccups and they were handled promptly. The home was what every cabin should look like, woodsy feel but well lit and clean. Kitchen was well equipped. I will emphasize that the gravel driveway is very steep (might be difficult for some cars) and very limited in number. I would recommend a 4x4 vehicle. The home’s screened in back porch was a welcomed addition as it provided a bug free location for the kids to eat and play. Blue Ridge and McCaysville was only a short distance with quaint downtown shops and eateries. There isn’t much of a yard for kids to play as the home is on a mini mountain, so we spent a day at Horseshoe Bend Park, (approx 15 mins from rental home) which was perfect with shade, playgrounds, picnic areas, bathrooms, fishing and river for tubing or kayaking. We had a wonderful family reunion, full of amazing memories!

Amazing Cabin

Cabin does not begin to describe this home. Everyone in our family was amazed with the accommodations, cleanliness and amenities. Awesome stay

Pictures don’t do justice to the place . It is much prettier than the pictures . Very clean. Gives the feeling of being isolated on a hill top and yet close to all amenities and Mercier orchards . Only suggestion that I could possibly make maybe is a larger TV for the living area . Host Diana super helpful and accommodating and very punctual in communicating . Awesome stay to accommodate 4 couples with privacy and their own bathrooms.

Wonderful cabin stay for the whole family!

We stayed at Animal Crossings for a week over Christmas with our grown children, their partners and children as well as my mother-in-law. The cabin had the perfect blend of proximity to shops and restaurants but still feeling like you are alone in the woods when at the property. The layout of the cabin was wonderful for the range of ages. The kids could all play downstairs while the adults sipped drinks by the fire and talked. The kitchen was well appointed and even had a waffle iron transforming our traditional Christmas morning chocolate chip pancakes into waffle indulgence! Loved everything about this place, if you have a group this locations ticks all the boxes!

Amazing property

The house was absolutely beautiful, everything was comfortable. They had a very cooking friendly kitchen so we had everything we needed to cook meals. Beds were comfortable. I absolutely loved the screened in porch and the front porch since it rained most of the time we were there it was nice to still be able to sit outside without getting wet. 10/10 recommend.

The facility is great for a large family. Very clean and well provisioned including kitchen utensils and nice gas grill. Sleeping is on two levels with bunk beds on the lower level for the younger folks. Nice game area also downstairs area. Steep, gravel driveway and limited parking (four vehicles), but this is typical of all mountain cabins. Nice fire pit. Close to entertainment and shopping but far enough away to provide an isolated, quiet, private atmosphere.. Loved our visit at Animal Crossing and will definitely keep it in mind for our next mountain getaway.

Weekend Getaway

You walk in and you feel like you are home. For us, the cabin was decorated with Fall Festival decorations. There was snack foods, clear directions on how everything oeperates, and plenty of towels. The cabin has multiple bedrooms: there are multiple king and wueen suites. The layout is perfect for friends or family to gather. The cabin is close to the Orchard, Blue Ridge Train and Blue Ridge town. The host was very responsive and thought of everything. We had an awesome time and plan to book again in the future.
