In the winter, Appalachian Ski Mountain, only three miles from the cabin, features multiple ski runs and an ice skating rink. Throughout the High Country, visitors can experience seasonal festivals, outdoor dramas like Horn in the West, and live concerts. The main floor of Creekside Cabin features a living room with an impressive vaulted tongue-and-groove ceiling, as well as wood-paneled walls and floors. The reclining leather furniture is arranged around a stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace, providing a cozy mountain cabin atmosphere. The spacious kitchen is ideal for entertaining, featuring a kitchen island with seating and an adjacent dining area with a classic-style wooden dining table. The lower-level den offers extra space for guests to spread out, complete with a TV, an arcade game, and seating.
There are multiple outdoor spaces to enjoy, including a covered front porch with wooden rockers, a back deck with a cozy private hot tub and gas grill, and a lower-level screened-in patio with ample seating and a fire pit. These areas are surrounded by peaceful woods, creating a quiet, private setting.
The main-floor master bedroom includes a king bed, a TV, and a private ensuite bathroom. Downstairs, there are three bedrooms: one with a queen bed, one with a double bed, and a bunk room featuring two twin-over-twin bunk beds. Each room has a TV and shares the downstairs bathroom. The den sofa also converts into a twin sleeper, providing extra sleeping space and flexibility. The upper-level open loft above the living room offers a fifth sleeping area with a king bed and has a private half bathroom for convenience.
Two dogs are welcome with your reservation for an additional fee. With central heating and air conditioning, cable service on all Roku TVs, and high-speed Wi-Fi, Creekside Cabin provides all the amenities and comforts needed for a fantastic mountain getaway. There is parking available for multiple cars in the level gravel driveway. During the winter months (October–March), four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is strongly recommended, and chains may be required during snow or icy conditions.
