Found a vacancy at the last minute during peak leaf season. Was very pleased with the property - very clean, gas logs were amazing. We were there only one night so didn't spend a lot of time but would definitely return. Off the Blue Ridge Parkway but very close to Blowing Rock.

This is a cute resort with what appears to be privately owned units that are packaged as vacation rentals. Our unit was lacking basic hospitality items such as coffee filters for the coffee maker and salt and pepper— typical staples in rentals with full kitchens. No shampoo either in case you forgot yours. A mouse ran across the baseboard while we were watching TV. Eeek! The windows and blinds are difficult to close or open and the place is rather dim. I’d have to say that this was less than a stellar rental.

Cabin was nicely arranged and had most amenities needed. There was no hair dryer in the bathroom which was unfortunate. We enjoyed the gas log fireplace. A repairs are needed: microwave door is significantly cracked, the back left stove burner does not work and the ceiling needs some places repaired in a couple areas. There were plenty of clean linens and blankets. We would certainly book with them again.

The small cabin was clean, but it was definitely dated. Small flatscreen TV in the living room and nothing in the bedroom. The light switch for the bedroom controlled all the outlets so we had to unscrew lightbulbs in order to keep the switch on and use our chargers. Each room is heated by individual baseboard heating. Nice to have a small kitchen and they were good at communicating.

Very dated, very dirty. Unit was unkempt and there were lots of broken items such as dining room chairs, window shades, microwave oven door, dryer door handle, ceiling was cracked with multiple patches/discoloration, carpet ripping up at door, dirty, and really old. Vent not working in bathroom, broken lever on reclining chair, baseboard heater in bedroom was rusty and falling apart.

Good directions and communication however our room smelled very musky and possibly moldy. We only stayed a night and we checked in late night so we didn’t bother to ask for a change. I wouldn’t stay here again seems overpriced for the quality of the cabin.

The size of our unit was very generous for the price that we pay. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small kitchen, dining area, washer and dryer. The area was very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Hi, we checked into Swiss Mountain Cottage a little after 6:15. The cabin itself was fine, though definitely older than expected. I wanted to mention that for the price, it didn’t quite feel worth the value—especially with checkout being at 10:00 a.m., which feels pretty early. I don’t think I’d stay here again,

We really enjoyed our stay at Swiss mtn village. The place well kept and spacious compared to a hotel. The prices are reasonable and much cheaper than a hotel. We will definitely! Book again.
