Monterey Lodge is a historic mountain retreat surrounded by 96,000 acres of Tuscarora State Forest. Once an 1800s schoolhouse turned hunting camp, the rebuilt 2012 lodge sleeps 10 comfortable (up to 12 with the 2 trundle beds) and offers sweeping mountain views, a wraparound porch (with rocking chairs), hot tub, game room, and Starlink internet. Located just 5 miles from the village of Blain for quaint markets and essentials, and close enough to Carlisle to enjoy the famous car shows—yet secluded enough to feel completely relaxed.

Enjoy endless outdoor adventure with hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, and hundreds of miles of off‑roading trails right nearby.

We keep the house stocked with essentials - Including a coffee bar. spices, paper plates, oils, condiments. There are Smart TVs/Chrome cast on each floor (pre-loaded with YouTube TV). Disconnect completely or work remote while enjoying some of the most quiet and beautiful scenery you will ever find. Quality knives and cookware. Cornhole boards, darts pool table, ping pong. board games too. Hot tub has integrated speakers and lighting. the view from the hot tub is almost as good as the one from the porch above.

We had an absolute fantastic stay at this cabin! From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptionally clean, organized, and felt very welcoming. The beds were firm and properly made, and having plenty of clean, fresh-smelling towels was a huge plus. The property itself offers an incredible amount of space to spread out and relax.The amenities truly set this place apart—the basement entertainment area was a massive hit, and the private shooting range was an awesome bonus that you rarely find. Even with plenty to do, we loved winding down by the great fireplace in the evenings. The host was fantastic to work with from start to finish. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway and would gladly return!
