Welcome to Villa Janardhani, a boutique retreat near Ubud with a private pool set amid 800 m² of tropical gardens. Just 9 km east of Ubud Palace and a 5-minute walk from Tegallinggah Cliff Temple.
We host one group at a time, so the 10m lap pool, lotus pond, gardens, and open-air kitchen are exclusively yours. Two detached bedroom pavilions and an open living pavilion blend understated elegance with Balinese charm beneath soaring 7.5m beamed ceilings.
The space
Bale Sungai (Bedroom I)
A king suite featuring a comfortable king-size bed with a high-quality mattress, air conditioning, floor-to-ceiling wardrobes, a writing desk, vanity area, and safety box.
Bale Tegal (Bedroom II)
A separate bedroom building featuring two queen-size beds and the same comforts, including air conditioning.
Both bedrooms are standalone structures, each with a private en-suite bathroom featuring eco-friendly amenities, robes, slippers, and a hairdryer. The separate buildings offer genuine privacy for couples, families, and friends traveling together.
The Living Pavilion
The spacious living pavilion provides a comfortable place to gather, relax, or enjoy some quiet time. It features plush seating, a TV and sound system, and a library of books and reading material. It’s also a lovely spot for an afternoon nap, though it isn’t set up as an overnight bedroom.
A note on bedroom arrangements: For 1–2 guests, we prepare Bale Sungai for your stay. If two guests would prefer separate bedrooms, simply let us know in advance and we'll be happy to prepare Bale Tegal as well. For larger groups, we prepare both bedrooms according to your party size.

Location and Nearby
Tegallinggah is a quiet village amid rice fields and traditional Balinese life, about 9 km east of Ubud Palace. Goa Gajah and Yeh Pulu are nearby. The Tegallinggah Cliff Temple (Candi Tebing) is about 350 m away, a 5-minute walk to the entrance, with a few more minutes down to the archaeological site and the river. The final stretch is steep and uneven, so we recommend sturdy shoes. Travel time into town depends on traffic, so please allow extra time.

Guest access
The villa is located approximately 200 meters down a charming, narrow, unpaved village lane just off the main road. Cars can drive about halfway down the lane to drop off guests and luggage, then need to exit, as there is no car parking at the villa. Free motorbike parking is available on site. Grab and Gojek, Bali’s popular ride-hailing apps similar to Uber, can also bring you to the villa.
Navigation tip: Please search for "Villa Janardhani" directly in Google Maps and share the location pin with your driver. Other GPS apps may occasionally direct you to the wrong location.
Please message us before arrival so our local team can guide you along the lane and help with your luggage, including for evening arrivals. We can also arrange a private airport transfer for a smoother arrival.
Other things to note
When you arrive, we'll personally welcome you, show you around, and hand over the keys to your private villa. From then on, the villa is yours to enjoy at your own pace.
Our local team lives just 100 meters away and takes care of daily cleaning, the gardens, and evening preparations to keep everything comfortable during your stay.
Each evening around 10 pm, a member of our team visits the villa for a brief evening check, turning off lights and securing the property. This is part of our service for every stay and includes stepping inside the villa. Our team will message you beforehand and keep the visit quiet and short. We're happy to arrange a different time at your request.
Villa Janardhani is nestled in Bali's lush tropical surroundings, where nature and everyday village life are part of the experience.
Families: The villa is best suited to children aged 6 and older. The pool is unfenced, and we don't provide cots or baby equipment. If traveling with younger children, please message us before booking to discuss suitability.
Mobility: The villa's open layout, garden paths, and outdoor areas may be challenging for guests with limited mobility. Please contact us before booking if you have any concerns.
Adjacent building: Our building near the kitchen is unfinished inside, but its exterior is beautifully maintained and there is currently no construction activity.
Tropical nature: Geckos and occasional insects are part of life in Bali's gardens. Geckos are harmless, and some insects are to be expected in a tropical setting.
Village life: You may occasionally hear farming equipment and other everyday sounds from the surrounding village.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside the villa or near the buildings. A designated smoking area is available in the garden.
