Tucked away in the tranquil mountains, the pet-friendly Hawk Haven cabin offers the perfect blend of peaceful seclusion and easy access to some of Western North Carolina's most loved destinations—Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Black Mountain (20–25 minutes), and Asheville (35–40 minutes). With spacious interiors, 5 bedrooms, and expansive mountain views from a huge deck, Hawk Haven is your group's go-to mountain retreat. Whether you're gathered around the fireplace in winter or grilling out on the deck in summer, this home is designed for comfort, relaxation, and connection.

Important to note: This home is pet-friendly with a $100 fee per dog (max of two). Due to common allergies, cats are not permitted. The fireplace is operable but not guaranteed as an amenity. It is very difficult to light, and Greybeard will not send a technician to assist. The ice maker and water dispenser on the fridge are non-functioning.

Greybeard homes are located close to Pisgah National Forest. Ladybugs and Kudzu Beetles may be seen in our area in the fall and winter months, and it is not uncommon for them to find their way into homes to escape the cooler weather. They are not poisonous and cannot be exterminated.

During the colder winter months, icy and/or snowy road conditions and delayed snowplow operations are possible within the development. From December through March, please come prepared with AWD or 4WD vehicles. We also highly recommend travel insurance.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cabin, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.

Great house for a family stay. Toys and pack and play were there also. Plenty of room and great views of the mountains. If you have small children who get car sick you might want to go with a different location, very curvy roads to get up to the house. It was a great time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view from the deck is outstanding and the temps a lovely break from the heat. Unfortunately, the mattresses were too soft for 2 of our family so sleep was a challenge. Otherwise the house is very comfortable and had ample room for 6 people, including 2 children.

Enjoyed our stay. Love this cabin, has a great view and love the peace and quiet. Doesn’t have WiFi which I did not mind but is certainly helpful when trying to make daily plans or wanting to map a driving route. This was our 3rd time staying at this cabin and we absolutely love it. Other than WiFi has everything our group could have possibly needed. Can’t beat the sunset views!!

Great place to stay in the mountains!

This place was great! We had a big family getaway and there was plenty of room for everyone. And perfect for families with small kids. There's a crib in one bedroom in the basement and a little play room stocked with toys downstairs too. We've stayed in lots of places in the mountains with our kids and this was easily the best spot to be with kids. Kitchen was very well stocked with all the things you need too. Close to Black Mountain and Chimney Rock, but definitely stock up at the store on your way in. Super easy check in and good communication before arrival. Highly recommend.
