The modern design of the room, with the victorian style furniture in the lobby and exterior building. Clean and comfortable stay. Breakfast and dinner were both great

The Hotel is set on the outskirts of Coventry and the outside does not look very pleasing but it is well maintained inside and the deco reflects modern. The bed was smaller than i expected plus the view was not the best unfortunately.
Staff very welcoming , helpful and professional. Made me feel at home, they were very cheerful and relaxed even though very busy with a wedding party. Room was comfortable had a great nights sleep ,food was excellent , great breakfast. Well done everyone and thank you
Beautifully decorated throughout, huge bedroom, great bathroom, incredibly comfortable bed, lovely service. What more can you ask for? Had an evening meal and breakfast and both were delicious. Steak salad starter was cooked to perfection and was a steal at £8, while we genuinely thought we were undercharged when discovering the chef special pork fillet was only £14! Thoroughly enjoyable visit and such a shame that it appears to be closing down at the end of the year
Could not find a single problem with our stay. Cleanliness, friendly staff, especially Emma, beautifully decorated hotel, fabulous breakfast and such a comfy room. On reading some reviews you would be worried about staying here but don't be. We would definitely have no problem returning.

Not what we expected
Checking in was easy and the receptionist was very helpful. The toilet in the en suite bathroom was sealed to say it had been cleaned. However, this was not the case. On reporting this to the receptionist she came and cleaned it herself. I also gave ger the stained throw to take away with her. The meal we had there was lovely and we were given complimentry drinks for the issues we had with a room. For a Laura Ashley hotel I thought it would have been of a higher standard. Little things like holes on back of bathroom door not filled in where coat hook and lock had been. Bedroom doores could be updated or fresh coat of paint.
The staff service is excellent, very friendly and helpful. The only change we noticed was the weekend staff were not as engaging and appeared more lapse in their customer service. The cups in the restaurant we not very clean, had marks and even a dead fly, the staff need to check the tables before seating guests to ensure all tableware are clean and ready for guests to use.
A very enjoyable stay - the staff were wonderful & nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious & the room very comfortable. would recommend & would stay there again.

The hotel looked good in the common areas but our room was Superior and we can’t work out why as the pictures showing superior rooms did not look like the one we were in it was small and only had one bedside table as there wasn’t room for two and the shower cubicle was tiny the cleaner had left a bottle of cleaning fluid in the bathroom and when we brushed our teeth before bed the cold water was Luke warm it was slightly cooler in the morning but still a bit warm. There was only one pillow per person. Breakfast was included and OK but if I had paid £15 for it I would be disappointed. There was a communal jug for juices with no sanitiser near the jugs and the same with the tongs for pastries I ordered toast and received one and a half slices and my poached eggs were more like hard boiled. The flower vases on the breakfast tables were not in the freshest condition and the water looked murky in the vase.
Absolutely outstanding staff couldn’t do enough for us. My Laura Ashley friends came for afternoon tea and they showed us around all the principle bedrooms. Absolutely wonderful! There was a wedding also during the 39 rule covid and they really made their day special. Fabulous chef edible flowers on my poached egg for breakfast!
We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The lady on the check out was extremely helpful. She was willing to accommodate my "work from hotel" arrangements, which was very thoughtful of the staff.

terrible customer service, do not care about the satisfaction of their customers. Lack of basic amenities (no fridge, plastic cup to put teeth rush, broken bed ect), not able to recommend places to visit, dirty bathroom not cleaned everyday
A nice hotel conveniently located in Coventry. The room has a Nespresso machine which was greatly appreciated and big comfortable beds with a pillow menu. It was very quiet because of Covid and we were often left alone in the dining room while the staff were elsewhere. Our room was a bit noisy as it looked out onto a road. There was double glazing in the room but not the bathroom and no air conditioning. The dinner menu was quite limited.
There was a mix up with my booking. I took four days for them to answer phone messages and emails. They wanted to charge me twice and showed no sign of flexibility or caring for customers. They only value profit. This hotel puts the Laura Ashley brand to shame. Avoid at all costs.
