We really enjoyed the Red Roof plus Inn and Suites in Bessemer. The hotel is fairly new and still has a new smell. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the atmosphere of the hotel was nice. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. We really liked the new touches provided as well.

The tv in the room was blue, you could not see anything. The wall had black all around the outlet where the a/c was plugged in, like there had been flames coking out of the wall at dome point in time. The hallway smelled like somthing burnt. The beds and pillows were hard as a rock. The floor on 2nd floor uneven, k ike the floor is sinking. I did not feel safe staying here.

Small parking area, and then the first impression of lobby was dirty carpet on stairs. Room to door stuck and furniture was plain and decor was limited and boring. Staying in a one bedroom suite where closet doors were off the hinges and paint was chipped left us with a thought of “we will not return for a second visit”. I get times are hard but a facelift is needed for this property.

AC didn’t work great, the whole place felt old and dirty, we had a bucket under the sink to catch water that was leaking, soap dispenser on the wall was constantly putting out soap. Was a bad experience all together.
