A Disappointing Budget Hotel Experience The hotel was a letdown, even for a budget option. The room was tiny, and no essential amenities were missing. There was no kettle for making tea or coffee, and no easy access to drinking water unless you paid for it. The housekeeping service was also subpar; the bedding wasn't changed daily, and even the pillowcases were left unchanged. This poor service and lack of basic amenities made it a bad value for the money. The corridor smell bad like the carpet has not been washed ever and the heating in room was not working.

Clean, basic, value for money

The room was basic but clean, bed comfy, I forgot to put the heating on so woke up a bit cold in the morning! But then discovered I couldn't get it switched on anyway (didn't have time to ask at reception before I left). Breakfast was good - continental all you can eat - and check in and check out was quick and efficient. Hotel was very busy on this stay so there wasn't a space left to park my car as I arrived late at night - but there is an NCP car park a couple of minutes walk away.

Good service, dirty rooms

Staff were really friendly and helpful during the stay. It’s not the cleanest of hotels - I had to request a room move because of hairs in the sink, shower and bedroom floor. Smell of weed was lingering in the corridors one evening

Polish woman on reception desk had very hostile, aggressive, argumentative and confrontational attitude when I asked to change rooms, due to noise, at night. She could just as easily have given me another room but instead, insisted on being difficult and awkward. A friendly, helpful, welcoming and sympathetic attitude would have been nice, even if no other rooms were available.
