Good hotel, but very poor check-in experience
Our stay at this otherwise nice hotel began with a very disappointing check-in. Despite arriving at 3:30 p.m., our room was still not ready. Nadia at the front desk was rude and dismissive, telling us to wait 10 minutes with no apology. When we returned after 10–15 minutes, she again responded rudely, saying it had only been eight minutes. A few minutes later, she refused to serve us altogether, forcing us to rejoin another queue and wait an additional 20 minutes.
As a Hotels.com Gold member and frequent business traveller, I have NEVER experienced such unprofessional behaviour, especially at a Hilton property. Fortunately, Abud at the second desk was courteous, apologised and offered us three drink vouchers as compensation.
Aside from the check-in issue, the rest of our stay was pleasant. The breakfast and pool staff were friendly and professional, and the facilities were good. Overall, I can recommend this hotel—but I strongly hope management addresses the behaviour of certain front desk staff to ensure all guests are treated with respect.
