We stayed here for one night as we were attending the NEC. The hotel was the closest to it. We found the room nice and clean but the noise of some music way past 1.30 am was not ideal. Couldn’t sleep very well due to this. The mattress protector far too big for the bed and ruffled up all night, quite annoying. Breakfast was good.

Whatever could go wrong went wrong. We spoke to someone on the phone who had booked us into the spa, so me and my partner got ready and went all the way down to the spa for them to tell us its fully booked after stating we could go down. Not to mention she is pregnant also. So we then went back upstairs and then had to come back an hour later, meaning we then had to push back our dinner reservations otherwise we’d not have time to go. Ruining plans Then theres the food. We ordered room service. Which took past 45 mins to arrive. It was so late they had to remove the tray charge. And then once it arrived the most we could eat was the bread as all the meat was raw and not cooked properly. Then lastly there is the parking. Despite me reconfirming if my parking was validated to three different staff members i was still not let out at the parking gate and told to wait their with my hazard lights for almost 10 minutes whilst my story was verified by the controller. I then had to call the hotel AGAIN myself and put my phone on loudspeaker so the control could here and let me through. I had a que of ppl behind me also. This was an absolute shambles. The only silver lining amongst all these issues was the staff. The staff were very understanding and very accommodating and very helpful in resolving my issues once they arise however paging such prices i don't really expect those issues in the first place.

Room was spotless, however, after reporting about 4 or five times, that the bathroom light switch had sunk in, (it was still operational); until Saturday late night, when it was completely broken. We were promised that Maintenance would come to fix it. Sunday morning, as we were checking out, again we reported it to The Receptionist Team. Staff, especially, on Reception and in the Sky Restaurant were exceptional!
