Don't accept amex and they insist on taking a reserve amount plus £50 for damages in check in. Ludicrous. Room was quite nice. Breakfast was good. Dinner menu was too pricey. So some good some bad. But on balance the hotel is OK

The room was clean but made up for 2 adults whilst the booking was for 3. Staff came quickly with additional towels coffee supplies etc. The food offer on the bar menu was ok but the restaurant food varied in quality. Squid starter was hard, dry, overcooked. Beignet dessert turned out to be a doughnut. We cancelled a cheese plate. The cancellation was acknowledged by the waiter but I had to get reception to remove it from the bill as it was still charged. This was done promptly though without question.
