At the source of the name Carmichael, Carmichael Estate is Scotland's oldest family farming business. We have 10 quality assured self-catering cottages dotted around the peaceful Estate amongst the woodlands and hills. Situated between Lanark and Biggar, yet only 50 minutes for Edinburgh and Glasgow we provide an ideal touring base for visiting Central Southern Scotland. Once one of the service cottages for the now ruined Carmichael mansion house, East Twin cottage is located in a raised position in the centre of the Estate. It is a comfortable cottage with excellent views. Pets welcome, lovely walks from the doorstep.
