My only complaint was that we thought we were going to stay in the actual pub, but ended up in the car park, got woke up at 6am because of delivery’s coming and going, workmen with drills outside our door and other guests were so loud, not everyone wants to wake up so early everyday Staff were very friendly and helpful

Car park was fully open contrary to several emails stating it was closed prior to our stay which almost caused me to cancel. Staff were lovely/ really friendly. Remote for tv was missing but was found and returned. (Unfortunately batteries were dead rendering it useless). Lovely bar area and food was really tasty. Really good stay.

Check in was fast and efficient. The room was clean, although it only had a small window there was a door to the courtyard we could open. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The shower was fine and there was a good beverage tray with biscuits. Breakfast was quite chaotic with food not being replenished and tables not being cleared and cleaned. However the cooked breakfast was tasty.

Staff were by and large very helpful. A request for boiled eggs was treated very poorly at night but at breakfast it was no problem. Room very good but odd bits dusty. Bed large and comfortable. False alarm at 2.30am not only not welcome but not managed well by staff member. Food only average. Decor lovely. Big car park. Wanted to like the place but of the 4 hotels in the group we have visited this was the worst.

Hotel was very nice a little bit of a struggle getting to our bags to the room as some of the swipe card doors were out of order had to take the long way to the room. We were disappointed after the second night when we came back to our room which had not been serviced that day,. No towels etc ☹️.

Lovely place to stay if you don't want overly posh and high price ... but good value for money. Breakfast could of had a second piece of bacon or sausage on but otherwise good choice. The staff were overly helpful when we asked. Not directly in town which again was good for less noise

Every member of staff we met at the hotel were absolutely lovely. The chef and catering team did a really great job catering for my quite specific unusual dietary issues, and all the others were cheerful, helpful and attentive. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, although being really picky, we found the lighting was a little bit dim. We really enjoyed the stay very much.

Large, comfortable and clean room with all the required amenities. Staff were excellent and very friendly as well. Location was great across Swallow Falls and have ample of parking. Will just need to validate your car with reception if staying over. Highly recommend and will stay again if we are back in the area
