Welcome to Uptah + Rivah, two cozy studio cabins nestled just steps apart on the same wooded property in Bethel, Maine. It's a unique setup for two couples, adult siblings, extended family, or friends who want to experience fall in western Maine together without squeezing everyone into one traditional vacation rental.

Your reservation includes both complete studio cabins. They're identical in size, layout, and amenities, and each has its own bathroom, kitchenette, private hot tub, fire pit, deck, and living space.

Spend crisp fall days hiking colorful trails, biking Mt. Abram, exploring Grafton Notch, taking scenic drives, visiting Bethel, or adventuring around Sunday River.

Then come home and make the evening part of the getaway. Light the fires, pour a drink, and soak in your two private hot tubs beneath the cool fall sky.

The Space

When you book Uptah + Rivah, both cabins and both private outdoor spaces are yours for the stay.

You'll have two separate, thoughtfully designed ~400-square-foot studio cabins, each with a compact, open layout. The cabins sit just steps apart on the same wooded property, making it easy to share your vacation while still having separate spaces to sleep, shower, relax, and recharge.

And there's no need to decide who gets the "better" cabin.

Uptah and Rivah are identical in size, floor plan, amenities, and comfort. The difference is simply their décor and personality.

Uptah — The Adventure Basecamp

Uptah has a warm, classic Maine cabin feel with an adventure-inspired personality. It's cozy, comfortable basecamp to recharge after hiking, biking, skiing, paddling, or exploring western Maine.

Rivah — The Relaxing Retreat

Rivah offers the exact same layout and amenities with calming, lake-inspired décor—a cozy, peaceful retreat to slow down and settle in after the day's adventures.

Together, the cabins accommodate up to 6 guests.

Sleep & Recharge

Each cabin has its own sleeping and living area, so your group isn't sharing one common living space.

Each cabin includes:

Light the fire pits. Pour your favorite drinks. Trade your hiking boots for the hot tubs and watch the stars appear through the trees. Unwind, relax, and enjoy having nowhere else you need to be.

And when everyone is ready to call it a night, you don't have to retreat to separate bedrooms down the hall.

You each have your own cabin.

That's what makes Uptah + Rivah different from a traditional multi-bedroom vacation rental: you can share the getaway without having to share everything.

Guest Access

You'll have private access to the entire cabin, deck, hot tub, and outdoor living area. The bathroom utility closet remains locked.

Good to Know Before You Book

• Primary guest must be 25 years or older and staying onsite for the duration of the reservation.

• A rental agreement, photo ID, and a $400 security hold are required after booking. The security hold is authorized two days before arrival and automatically released seven days after departure if no damage is reported. Please note we are on the exception list as we are API Connected to a hotel-style software called OwnerRez to safely and securely take off-platform security deposits.

• Our cabins are on a private well, and water is a precious resource in the mountains. We kindly ask guests to help conserve water by turning off taps when not in use and keeping showers to a reasonable length. While the water is safe to drink, some guests prefer to bring bottled water or fill reusable bottles at a local natural spring just 5 minutes away.

• The kitchenette includes a compact mini-fridge (no freezer). If you're bringing extra groceries or frozen items, we recommend packing a cooler with ice for additional storage.

• A starter coffee and tea station is provided to help you ease into your Maine mornings.

• Outdoor amenities are available seasonally (May–October), including the picnic table, bistro table, and yard games.

• Cell service is generally strong. Wi-Fi is the best available for our rural location and works well for streaming and browsing, though it may not be ideal for frequent video calls.

• The driveway is steep and gravel. All-wheel drive or four-wheel drive is recommended year-round, especially during winter weather. The driveway is professionally plowed and sanded after each snowfall.

• To help everyone enjoy a peaceful stay, we do not allow parties, smoking or vaping inside the cabin, or unregistered guests.

• Dogs are welcome! We allow up to 4 dogs (2 years or older is preferred). A $50 pet fee per dog applies. We simply ask that dogs are house-trained, supervised, and respectful of the property so future guests—and their pups—can enjoy it too.
