VILLA MAGNOLIA Lake Maggiore

The villa is located on a hill 5 minutes from Lake Maggiore. It was founded in 1404 by order of Pope Gregory XII. Our 1 hectare botanical park is home to the oldest magnolia in Italy. The proximity to the main tourist, sporting and religious sites of Italy and Switzerland make it an ideal base for sports and spiritual gatherings and retreats. Guests are struck by the beauty of the frescoes, fireplaces, wooden ceilings and the medieval tavern with a brazier and a wood-burning oven.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned villa, which features a fireplace and a private pool. There's a private balcony. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Property was clean but sparse. Pool is on an old tennis court. The room shown with the beautiful arch etc... is not accessible. Handicap accessible shower and bathroom is on the second floor with stairs to it. The caretaker is excellent, and helpful. The a/c is working all day with little result, needs better window sealing for ventilation. Few amenities in the kitchen.
