This was an excellent guest house! The staff were very warm and accommodating. There was convenient designated parking and the guest house was right below Berat Castle.The room was spacious and very clean with a terrace as well. A good breakfast was also included. We ended up needing to stay an extra night, and they worked very hard to make it happen for us.

Nice hotel, especially breakfast! We enjoyed good foods and nice view from the restaurant. Tasty bread and vefetables, fried egg were served. Also very tasty Petulla, Albanian traditional bread, were served with butter and jam. The hotel staff Anisa was very friendly and served ice cream after the breakfast. Thank you so much!

Fabulous Hotel

We booked this hotel for our stay in Berat and could not be happier with our choice. It is at the top of the hill by the castle, but the views are awesome, the staff very friendly, and the food was fantastic.

Lovely hotel, view and staff

The hotel has an amazing view of the mountains and is right next door to the castle, the staff were very helpful even helping me with laundry as i was stuck (even though they do not do a laundry service) The food at the restaurant was lovely. There were a few confusions but mostly due to language barriers. The internet is good and there is parking, i would stay again if i visited the town. Thank you for a lovely stay

The restaurant didn't open at 8 AM as advertised. I couldn't wait longer for it to open because of an activity that was scheduled elsewhere. So the free breakfast didn't happen. Dinner was fine with complimentary prosecco and Raki and a 10% discount.

We had a great time at Te Gjyshi. Located right by the fort and owned by the restaurant, with the same name, that has a long history of serving guests in Berat. The place was newly renovated and the views were better than shown in the pictures. Restaurant served delicious Albanian cuisine and you received a discount for being a hotel guest. For breakfast you didnt get a choice to choose qhat you would like but what they served was again delicious. We especially loved how close we were to the fortress, and the old town was a short distance down hill. Going uphill after a day of exploring is a bit of a work out but manageable. Overall, loved our stay here and would definitely come back.

Nice hotel and comfortable room, but there are several drawbacks. • The hotel is close to the city center, however the distance of 800 m from the center is a very steep uphill road that is difficult even by car. The alternative, easier road is at least 4 km longer. • Breakfast starts at 9:00, which is quite late. When we arrived at 9:00, there was no one at reception and the doors were still closed, while it was raining outside. The lady came at 9:20 so we had a late breakfast before taking a long road to another city. • The shower water pressure is very weak, and there was no hot water in the room
