The rest of the villa is equally bright and spacious and includes a modern kitchen with high-quality appliances, including tea and coffee-making facilities, and a cooler which is filled daily with bottled water. Guests staying at The Palm Villa enjoy four stunning bedrooms, all of which feature sumptuous beds and handsomely crafted furniture. The villa features a master bedroom with a king-size bed and private bathroom, as well as a queen-size room and a twin room (perfect for older kids or teens!), both of which share a bathroom. The fourth bedroom has a single bed and its own private bathroom. All bedrooms have the same light and fresh decor as the rest of the villa and feature air-conditioning for a restful and relaxing night’s sleep.



The outdoor spaces here at the villa are just as spacious and include beautiful lawn areas and palm trees, and a cabana lounge area - fully furnished for your comfort, and a fantastic spot for enjoying after-dinner drinks or relaxing with a good book. A covered dining terrace provides plenty of space for enjoying alfresco meals with the whole family, and there’s also a beautiful sun deck complete with luxurious loungers for soaking up some much-needed rays! The icing on The Palm Villa’s cake is its large private pool, which is easily accessible via Roman steps, making it easy for guests of all ages to get in and out of the water safely.

The Palm Villa is situated in a private and secluded area on the island of Bequia - known as the Caribbean’s hidden gem! - and located just nine miles from its ‘parent’ island of St Vincent. On this beautiful laidback island, life moves at a slow, luxurious pace. Tourists come here to enjoy total relaxation and embrace an old-school, beachy vibe of white, sugary-sand beaches, swaying palms, and main streets lined with colourful shops and restaurants. Bequia is pure paradise! 



The island is still relatively quiet in terms of tourism, and you’ll only find a small handful of hotels and accommodations on the island, giving it a real vibe of exclusivity. One of the most popular spots on the island is the Bequia Beach Hotel - the only real resort location on the island and home to a spa, swimming pools and restaurants. 



You can’t visit the island of Bequia without visiting the main town of Port Elizabeth, a charming spot where you’ll find a colourful fruit and veg market, quaint shops, and restaurants - including the ‘world’s prettiest Pizza Hut’. From here, visitors can enjoy one of the Caribbean’s most scenic walks along the waterfront Belmont Walkway to Princess Margaret Beach. This fifteen-minute stroll is ‘doable’ for all ages, so slap some sunscreen on the kids and watch the boats bob on the harbour as you head along the powdery sands to Jack’s Beach Bar, where you can enjoy all-day beach chair rental. Oliver recommends sampling some local cuisine during your stay - the crisp-fried ballyhoo (a sardine-like fish) is particularly delicious!



Bequia is an island famous for its boat-building and whaling heritage, so be sure to visit the boat museum and find out all about the practices which are still carried out here today using age-old non-mechanical methods. If you have any keen hikers among you (and plenty of water and sun cream!), why not trek to Bequia’s highest point of Ma Peggy’s Rock? It’s a 90-minute hike, but the views over Admiralty Bay towards Mustique, Petit Nevis and St. Vincent make it well worth it - be sure to have your camera handy!
