When I booked this I thought i was getting a guaranteed room. When I reached the property, no one was at the front desk and then when they finally showed up, they didn’t have my room reserved. Luckily I was able to receive a refund through hotels.com. Once the room was cancel and refunded, the front desk magically had a room available. I went and looked at the room and it was disgusting! Dirty, noisy ac unit, dead cockroaches in the bathroom and the smell was awful
There was nothing good at all! This hotel needs to be condemned! They were trying to do major renovations while renti g rooms! They were grinding rusty railing and ceiling supports. When they saw us pull up to our room they stopped. But as soon as we went in they started again covering my truck with rust and paint debris. Then there was one of the workers with a leaf blower that blew crap under our door and into our room! I moved my vehicle then they kept grinding until after 6 pm! We thought they would be done, but then they started again bright and early the next morning waking us up!! I went to the front deskand they told us the place changed hands 7 days prior and they said they could've close to do the repairs that they probably wouldn't pass inspection for reopening! So why in the hell wouldn't they say that when i made my reservation!! Or why would they rent rooms anywhere near all this mess!!
Arrived at 530p and walked into the facility to check in and the area was “hot with a FOUL order” and no greeting.
Me and my friend walked out and didn’t check in.
It wasn’t a place I wanted to stay ever overnight.
Attended our engagement and drove back home to Chicago. Never EVER again.
This was a room to just stay overnight for one day.

Guy working the desk was SO nice. He said they had just bought the property and actually showed me the room before I paid to make sure it was okay.
They put us up in a room that smelled badly of cigarette smoke, even though their entire facility was no smoking. Initially, no bath towels were provided. The entire building and rooms need to be redone.
The Red Roof Inn in Benton Harbor- St Joseph was unsafe, very bad maintained and dirty. We made the reservation through Travelocity and when we checked in, all I had to do was give my name to the person at the front desk. They did not ask for an ID or anything. We had to go to drive around to the second building and there was lots of garbage on the outside and on the stairs and outside corridor to get to our room. The room door did not have the inside safety lock. There were handprints on the walls and headboard. The wall to the bathroom had indentations where you can see they had been parched up from a hole but it was not done correctly. In the bathroom, there was no soap/shampoo in the dispenser, nor were any towels provided. We couldn't find another room at a different hotel for that night so we stayed, but I will never stay at another Red Roof Inn again.
The property is very rundown, dirty, and unsafe. The inside security lock on the door was missing. The shower curtains where filthy, there was no soap/shampoo in the dispenser, and no towels were provided. There were holes in the walls and handprints on the walls and head board. I'm never staying in another Red Roof again.
Check you room first! The first room I was given had a dirty bathroom, including a wet wash cloth in the soap holder. Completely unacceptable. The second room was unsafe- a used wash cloth was on the ground in front of the door, which was already propped open! I went back to the front desk to inform they still didn't have it right. I was finally given an accessible room. It was clean enough, though I don't think the floors had been mopped all summer. The bed was like cardboard.There's a Walmart across the parking lot in case you may want to purchase cleaning or other items to compliment your stay.
The bathroom was the worst I had ever seen in a hotel room in my entire life!!!!!!!!!! And we are world travelers who have just returned from Europe. The toilet was as full of feces as you can imagine. The toilet was also broken and a dirty wash rag was in it. The new management was apologetic and had to move us to a new room, but it lacked Kleenex, any cups at all, and any“””blankets. The new management said if we requested any kind of refund, which we are, he would honor it. This was the worst hotel experience ever!!!!!!!!!!
