They charge for the old looking rooms more than a luxury casino-hotel in Boston does! Horrible, dirty, VERY OLD property with no convenience! No parking lots. No safety measures. The most horrible place I have ever seen in this country!

It’s a lovely 200 year old hotel that’s been updated nicely. It’s got 3 restaurants and a wonderful coffee bar in the lobby. The staff is very helpful and courteous.

Upon arrival, the front desk checked me in one of my rooms. The other room wasn’t available until later which was fine. But my second room was on a different floor and in a completely different wing of the hotel. My sister and I asked if our rooms could be closer together. We were told that wasn’t possible. Very disappointed with that. Some of the common areas were not very clean and the whole place needs TLC.

The hotel prominently promotes walking trails in and near on their property. While they provide maps no staff could explain how to access. The maps were very confusing. We set out and could not find a trail head. We finally used Google Maps and found that the nearest access was a few blocks away from the hotel and there was no parking. We were confronted by very unfriendly signs informing us that the trail was for homeowners and hotel guests only. An adjacent home had a sign informing us about guard dogs. The town, the hotel and their neighbors need to work out a way to make these trails more accessible and friendly to visitors. Other than this frustration, our stay was comfortable and delightful.
