Very comfortable for a short winter break. Jacuzzi Sea view rooms excellent. Plenty of variety in the buffet dining room and evening entertainment was entertaining! Perfect location for the old town.

Great Hotel right on the Beach

Was dubious about returning to Benidorm after a previous holiday in the resort left me with a bad impression of the place. However upon returning this time for a 4 day stag do, I can say I was impressed. The hotel was fantastic, clean, modern and a fantastic location right on the beach. The staff were friendly and professional and the food served on the all-inclusive deal was very good. The gem of this hotel is the ninth floor terrace, we found this to be a wonderful place to chill out and have drinks.

Stayed here in January 2015 with my husband. The hotel is very good. Food excellent and the friendly staff are very helpful. We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to all our family and friends. Special mention of Angel and Juan on reception. They were excellent! We had a great room and the hotel is on the sea front on the Ponente beach which we liked very much. The front is Very flat so great for long walks. The only downside was when the weather was dull outside there were no comfortable lounge area to sit and read etc.

Nice couple of nights away

Previously stayed at sister hotels and enjoyed so thought I’d give it a go. Can’t go wrong with all inclusive great booze and food. Hotel was clean, room and had sea view, bit rough in places but for price not gonna moan The cons Absolutely nowhere to sit indoors apart from 2 sofas in reception and couple of tables on 1st floor. My mam really struggled as she has mobility issues so struggled with the modern low chairs/bed or bar stools on roof and round pool area For money paid I’m happy, wouldn’t pay top price out of season

Not what you would expect

The shower has a glass enclosure that is less that the half of the shower length. They have a high pressure shower that disperses water all over the place making the floor wet up to the room. At night, the noises are strong making your sleep very difficult.

Fab hotel on the beach.

Travelling with fam of 4 (two teens). Excellent hotel on the beach. Very modern. Fantastic roof terrace. Quiet at the pool, always able to get a longer, although off season and 11ish before sun hit the patio area. Away from hustle and bustle of benidorm but close enough to walk everywhere. Would definitely return. Late flight and we were able to use AI and facilties all day and shower. Food ok, glad only there one week as a bit similar every day. Waitresses staff in restaurant work hard, however need to be more friendly. Didnt use entertainment as kids wanted livelier nightlife and hotel guests were of an older age group. Well done Villa del Mar.

Lovely Short Break

An hours drive from Alicante airport (we used the Resort Hoppa). You are greeted with a drink as you check-in. The hotel faces the beach. Small road (easy to cross) separates it from the promenade. Short walk to Levante Beach, where there is a little more nightlife. Our room was on the 8th floor, facing the sea. Large room with queen size bed, small sofa, table & chairs plus a jacuzzi bath overlooking the beach and Benidorm Island. Bathroom had a double vanity unit & a rainfall shower. Decent storage space. Tea/coffee making facilities & a small fridge. Flat screen t.v with channels in various languages. The power stays on if you leave the room - very useful for charging tablets etc. Terrace on the 9th floor has a small bar, sun beds plus some tables & chairs. Free wifi from here as well as in reception. Spa is also on this floor. 2nd floor terrace has a small pool, a reasonable amount of sun beds & a bar. You can also find the hotel gym here. Below reception is a kids play area & the Llum de Coral. This is where the hotel puts on evening entertainment. Restaurant is buffet service. A good choice throughout the day. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the fact that you didn't have to wear a wrist band for the all inclusive package. Happy that you never had to wait too long for the lift and slightly bemused by the gurgling sound that the jacuzzi made from time to time - when it was empty! Well done Villa Del Mar.

3 Stjernes hotell på ein 5 stjernes loasjon.

Lokasjonen,utsikt og avstand til strand er det du betaler for. Resten av hotellets fasiliteter og komfort stammer 20 år tilbake. Hotellet har mye høyere konkurranse idag da nabo hotell har mye bedre standard og er oppusset/nytt. Vi hadde valgt å ta 7 netter en annet hotell neste gang. Vi hadde rom i øverste etasje med sjøutsikt og badekar. + Utsikt 10/10 + Minibar gratis - litt liten plass, vanskelig å finne en plass for å ha 2 åpne kofferter. - Utslitt - små maur fant fram til klær og seng til tider. (Ja vi klaget) Prøvde også hotellets massasje for par. + Flinke folk. ÷ Spa område ok men krever badehette. -Dårlig kommunikasjon mellom spa/resepsjonen for booking og betaling. - Massaje avsluttet 10-15 før tiden. Bassengområde + Ok standard - dårlig informasjon med tanke på handklær og glass for poolbar - ikke altid mulig å få solsenger på grunn høy etterspørsel. - ingen småretter eller gode poolside snacks (bare eit pappfat med salt chips selv om hotellet er eit voksen hotell.) - ikke lov med medbringt snacks Resturant Vi hadde bare frokost, og det er jeg gla for. Spiste frokost 5 av 7 dager. +Standard utvalg, men lokale har mye støy, så andbefaler å sitte ute. - smakløst (men det var mye av maten i spania, så kan være oss som var noe uheldig.) - konsistens og smak endret seg på eggerøre og diverse for hvær dag. Desverre ingen bilder fra insiden av hotellet. Men det er som på bilde bare slitt og gammelt.

My stay at Villa del Mar Hotel

From my opinion this hotel is overrated. It is a 4 star hotel but looks like a 3 star hotel. I was kind of disappointed, the pictures are misleading. Location is very good though and you have plenty to do around.

The only good thing about this property is the location. Everything else is unfortunately awful. The condition of the property, the service , the quality of food is unacepteable..for this price. Dont recommend at all.
